The big spoops
"Why are we coming here, again?" Ashton asked another time, worry seeping into his voice.
"Because! We always come here on Halloween! It's just the first time we're bringing you along!" Chandler replied, patting Ashton on the back.
"Yo, what do you guys think of my new pumpkin tattoo?" Avery asked, holding up his hand to display the tattoo on the back of his palm. He got a variety of "ooh's" and "nice's".
"You know what Alden would say if he had come with us. 'Tattoos are bad for your skin'!" Dillon playfully mocked Alden, in a voice that sounded nothing like him.
"Alright, here we are! The Kirkman Street Murder House..." Chandler presented, stepping onto the property, quickly followed by Avery and Dillon. Ashton hesitated. Winston noticed and came up next to him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, everything will be fine. This place always creeps me out, too. But I always feel safe with my friends." He smiled, and led Ashton up the path to the front door, where everyone else was waiting. Chandler smirked, and pushed open the old door. It made a very loud creaking noise as it eerily swung open.
Everyone stepped inside, nonchalantly feeling the old dusty fixtures of the inside. Dillon walked over a switch panel.
"Look at this." He said to Ashton. Then, he flipped a switch up, and the house suddenly was illuminated with light. Ashton gasped in surprise. Seeing it lit up, made it less scary. He smiled to Winston, who smiled back knowingly.
The five of them were having a good time, spreading spooky stories, and sharing candy they'd brought in their pockets. And then, the lights went out.
"Oh god...wh-who did that...?" Ashton whimpered. Winston felt for Ashton, grabbing his shoulder.
"It's alright, Ash. When Al rigged this up last year, he mentioned there could be some...faults." He explained.
"I'll handle it." Dillon declared, slowly making his way over to the panel in the darkness. Chandler suddenly let out a gasp, then a distressed sounding cry.
"Chandler? What happened?" Ashton called out. He heard Avery chuckle from somewhere in the darkness.
"It was probably just a little mouse that scared him." He teased. Within seconds, the light came back, Dillon standing triumphant at the switches. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Until they turned back around.
Chandler stood still, his face going pale. It looked like he was trying to say something.
"Uh...Chandler?" Ashton said slowly, taking a step forward. Chandler's mouth opened, and a red substance started leaking out. Blood. Blood. He fell to the ground instantly after. A knife having been forced into his back. Ashton gripped Winston tight as they all screamed at the top of their lungs. Dillon tried to open the door, but it had been locked!
The four then heard footsteps from behind where Chandler had been standing. Not wasting any time, they all ran out of the main room, and into a bedroom.
"What the fuck? What the fuck? WHAT THE FU-?!" Winston placed a hand over Ashton's mouth, stroking his hair calmly, in an effort to calm him down. And to silence him in fear of an alleged murderer finding them.
"What in the hell just happened?! Who the fuck just killed Chandler?!" Ashton whisper yelled once Winston's hand was gone.
"Alden told me this is why he didn't come..." Avery murmured, "the official legend of this house. A man murdered his entire family in this home, and then himself. And every year on Halloween, the anniversary of those murders, his spirit roams this house, and kills groups of teens looking for a Halloween hideout. Leaving one alive, to tell the tale..." he finished.
