Shadow and Rouge's thirty days together (ON HOLD)

Day 11: Ice Skating

Sorry this is late and the other three days are aswell because ive been really busy

It was a snowy day today, Shadow and Rouge couldn’t believe how much snow there was today, they hadn’t seen that much snow since about 3 or 4 years ago. Shadow opened the curtains to find the outside to be covered in snow and ice. There were icicles on the window, hanging looking very shiny and glassy; He looks into the outside through the window thinking of the future and planning to see what they could do today.

Rouge turned over to see Shadow over by the window in his own little world; she could see that he was thinking about something that was bothering him so much but she didn’t know what, she asked him “Shadow, a penny for your thoughts? What’s on your mind?” she asked rubbing her eye and yawning. Shadow turned to her and just smiled at her, he went down stairs to start breakfast, and she got out of bed and put her dressing gown on and walked down the stairs, she could smell the breakfast the Shadow had cooked for her. He placed the plate in front of her and gave her a cup of coffee, he hugged her and she kissed him saying “Thank you sweetie” he smirked and they sat there looking at the weather thinking what to do.

Shadow said “Hey, I have an idea, why don’t we go ice skating it’s the right kind of weather for it, what do you say, up for the challenge?” he said with a smirk on his face as in to say it was a competition. She looked at him and went “Oh it is so on, bring it on pretty boy!” Shadow laughed and just smiled with a grin on his face. They both went and got dressed; they were both dressed in scarf, hats and gloves; Shadow and Rouge went to the lake to find it frozen as ice, they had their ice skates on and went onto the ice, Rouge turned around and bent down and tied her laces together, she stood up straight getting into her position. She let out a small smile “I’ll go easy on you dear” she got a head start so Shadow skated after her, they were both neck and neck, but Rouge won just by a little bit; Shadow stood and crossed his arms annoyed that he lost but he nodded at Rouge to congratulate her, Rouge just smiled.

Rouge was looking at the lake taking in how beautiful it looked; Shadow heard a crack in the ice where Rouge was standing, Shadow raced over to her shouting her name “ROUGE!!!” she fell through the ice “AHHH!! SHADOW!!!” the ice was ice cold, he grabbed her hand and pulled her from the freezing cold ice she was shaking because she was so cold, Shadow could feel her teeth chattering and how cold she was. He picked her up and took off his skates and put his shoes back on, he ran home to get her warm he placed her near the fire to warm up and gave her towel to her to dry off; and made her a cup of hot chocolate. He placed it on the table and sat next to her on the floor trying to warm her up, he was hugging her tightly close to her, Rouge looked up to him and said “Thank you for saving me Shadow and I’m warming up nicely now but next time lets go to a ice rink not a lake hehe never again. Shadow said kissing her forehead “No need to thank me Rouge, I’ll always save you no matter what and I agree with you there, no more icy lakes for us” they were kissing each other and hugging each other tightly.
