Shadow and Rouge's thirty days together (ON HOLD)

Day 14: Meeting the Family

Shadow was really nervous today because today was the day that he was going to meet Rouge’s parents, he was worried what they were going to think of him and what he has done in the past, he thought that they are going to think that he’s a bad and evil person for the things he has done. But Rouge saw that he was worried about the dinner with them, she went over to him sorting out his tie “Shadow... Don’t worry ok? My parents will love you, I don’t care what they think, this is my choice and I love you for who you are, no matter what you did in the past, the past is in the past and you are an amazing and beautiful person that I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with” she kissed him to reassure him and they left the house to go to Rouge’s parents house.

They got to the outside of her parents house, Shadow looked at the house and took a deep breath before going inside, Rouge grabbed his hand and smiled at him as in to say ready, he turned towards her and nodded. They knocked on the door, someone opened the door and it was Rouge’s mother Sarah. Sarah gave her daughter a big hug and Rouge hugged her mum back, Sarah looked Shadow up and down and said “You must be Shadow, we’ve heard a lot about you, It’s lovely to meet you” greeting him with a smile. Shadow smirked and said “Nothing bad I hope” he chuckled, “Mrs...” Sarah spoke suddenly and said “Oh please! Call me Sarah!” Shadow smiled and nodded. They went inside and sat down at the table; Rouge saw her dad and ran up to him “Hey Dad!” she said with excitement because she hadn’t see her father or mother in so long she had missed them a lot but Rouge was a daddy’s girl so she got on more with her dad than she did with her mother.

Jacob hugged his daughter tightly and then they both let go of each other and Rouge turned to Shadow and said “Shadow this is my father, Jacob” Shadow put his hand out to shake Jacob’s hand “It’s a pleasure to meet you sir” Jacob shook Shadow’s hand. They went back to their seats and started to eat and talk, Jacob asked Shadow “So Shadow... what is it that you do then?” Shadow swallowed his food and said “Well I am part of G.U.N, I am an Agent with Rouge, and we go missions together a lot” he looked down at his food. Jacob just smirked and laughed “Oh really because I thought that your job was hurting people that’s all” he said. Rouge looked at her dad “DAD!” she shouted in anger, Shadow looked at Rouge as in to say no it’s alright, Shadow stood up from his chair and said “Look whatever you have to say, you can say it to me and by the way whatever I did in the past is in the past, I’m not that person anymore” he said calmly.

Jacob just sniggered and shouted “Heh! Well I don’t think your right for my daughter and I don’t want her being or marrying some Psycho! That could hurt her!” he shouted angrily. Shadow was getting angry now because he loved Rouge he would never hurt her, Shadow gave Jacob a look and gritted his teeth “Hey! I would never ever hurt your daughter, she means everything to me! I would die for her!” Rouge felt so touched by Shadow’s words, she felt like crying with happiness, Sarah just sat there and said nothing and of course Rouge knew she would do that because that’s what her mum does. Rouge got up and said “You know what? I don’t care what you think! I don’t need your blessing from either of you, I love Shadow for who he is and he loves me, we are getting married weather you like it or not! We are marring for true love” she said as she was holding his hand and smiling at him then she kissed him. Rouge and Shadow left her parents house without saying goodbye and left for their home hand in hand.
