“Avalon! Avalon, what's wrong?!” Isaac yelled, practically breaking down my front door to get inside my house.

I turned around from my spot in the kitchen and smiled at him. “Well it took you long enough! It's not like you have super-human werewolf speed! Now do me a favor and grab the sugar from that far left cabinet.”

Isaac's jaw remained dropped in confused as he watched me grab different ingredients from around the kitchen. I stopped once I realized that he wasn't moving to help. “What?” I questioned.

“You said it was an emergency!” he replied in disbelief.

I laughed a little bit at what he said. “Did I? Oops! But this is an emergency! I have deemed today your official 'Supernatural-Free Relax Day'. Sounds fun, right?”

“Boyd and I are meeting with Derek. I was on my way there when you called,” Isaac retorted, still standing in the kitchen doorway.

I rolled my eyes and walked over to him. I took off his leather jacket and scarf off for him and placed them on the coat rack. “Well Derek needs a break day too. Coming back from the dead must take a lot out of a person....even if they are a werewolf.”

Isaac shook his head. “You're ridiculous.”

I shrugged, and walked back to my spot at the counter. “Maybe. But YOU still have given me the sugar.”

In the blink of an eye, Isaac was directly in front of me. He leaned down and pressed his lips against mine. He pushed me further back against the counter as he deepened the kiss. When he pulled back he had a smirk on his face. “Was that enough sugar?”

I groaned at what he said. “Isaac, that was so cheesy. And not what I asked for, so grab the actual sugar.”

Isaac slumped his shoulders and grabbed a bag of sugar from the cabinet I had directed him to. “So what exactly are we making now that you have all of my time?” he questioned, placing the bag beside me.

“Snickerdoodles, of course!” I exclaimed like it was obvious. I could see confusion written on Isaac's face at what I said. “You have made snickerdoodles before..haven't you?”

Isaac shook his head side-to-side a bit timidly. I had forgotten that Isaac didn't exactly have the picture-perfect childhood. I broke my heart a bit as I thought about how many things Isaac had probably not gotten the chance to experience or be a part of due to his father.

Isaac's voice brought me out of my thoughts. “But you does sound cute when you say it,” he said sweetly.

I smiled brightly at him, forgetting my previous thoughts. “Well, I'm going to teach you how!” I grabbed his hand and led him over to the bowl full of ingredients that I had already started mixing. “So I've already mixed in the shortening, butter, vanilla, and now sugar,” I explained as I poured in some of the bags contents. “And since you are a Snickerdoodle virgin, I am going to give you one of the best jobs of all.”

“And what would that be?” Isaac asked, watching me as I walked over to the refrigerator.

“Glad you asked! You, my dear werewolf, get to crack the eggs,” I smiled, pulling out two from their carton. I handed them to Isaac gently, and he just looked down at them.

“You're a five-year-old,” he teased as he carefully cracked both of the eggs and put the contents in the bowl of ingredients. When he turned back around I tried to help his point by sticking my tongue out at him. “Did you really just stick your tongue out at me?”

I smirked a bit. “Maybe.” Before I could even finish the word, Isaac had wiped his yolk-covered hands on the sides of my face. My jaw dropped in shock as Isaac simply laughed at my expression. “You're awful!” I yelled at him, picking up a handful of flour from it's bag and tossing it at him.
