“Uh, where exactly have you seen worse?” Stiles questioned his best friend as the group scanned the grounds of the motel.\

I had been wondering the same thing. I was surprised Coach Finstock was okay with staying here. I was honestly surprised the health department hadn't shut it down yet, and we were just looking at the outside.

“The meet is going to be tomorrow so you better rest up!” Coach yelled to the group of athletes and the three tag-alongs. “For those of you who I've heard complaining, this Motel was the only one that had enough vacant rooms... and the least judgment when it comes to accepting a bunch of degenerates.”

Everyone mumbled their protests at the Coach's degrading remark as they headed towards the motel.

“You guys are staying two to a room!” Coach informed the group as he got on the bus to go park it. “There will be no sexual perversions you little deviants!”

“I'll find someone to stay with, but you and Lydia need to come and get me if anything new happens. Keep me posted,” I told Allison, realizing one of us was going to have to stray from the usual. Plus I knew if Lydia had a breakdown, which looked likely as she was staring at the motel nervously, Allison was better at handling that than I was.

I found myself sharing a room with a small, skinny girl named Sarah. I honestly had never seen her before in my life, but seeing as she didn't have anyone to pair up with, and she was the least likely to bother me, I was okay with the pairing.

Right as we got in the room we took out some textbooks and began studying for some major exam she had in two weeks. I just stayed on my side of the room and looked at what the motel had given us. Two beds, a drawer with a bible in it, a bathroom,a small television, and a mini fridge. Since I hadn't brought anything for entertainment besides my own phone, I decided to look through the provided bible. People usually tend to write stuff in it, and I was more than curious to see into the minds of people who would actually go here willingly.

As I opened the book, a piece of paper fell to the floor. I picked up the tattered paper and saw that it was a newspaper article that had been cut out and put in the book. The headline read “18-year-old suicide from pills at local Motel”. I of course began reading.

I dropped the clipping to the floor as I finished reading the article, and ran out the door, not even saying one word to Sarah. I rushed to Allison and Lydia's room, knocking on the door without a pause, almost drawing blood from my knuckles.

Stiles answered the door, and before he could say anything I slipped into the room to where Allison and Lydia stood discussing something. I opened the drawer next to one of their beds and pulled out the bible, quickly flipping through the pages. It wasn't long before I came across a newspaper clipping with the headline “Modern-Day Romeo and Juliet: Suicides Continue at the Glen Capri Motel”.

The group gathered around me curiously and read the article for themselves.

“Who keeps that in a bible?” Stiles asked in disbelief.

“There's clippings in the bibles of the suicides that occurred in that room,” I explained, having figured most of it out on the way there.

The other three looked at each other worriedly before looking back at me.

“What do I not know?” I asked curiously.

“Stiles, explain quickly, we need to check out room 217,” Lydia said quickly, hurrying out the door with everyone following closely behind her.

Stiles was quick in explaining about the suicide count in the lobby, as well as it going up by three since they got there. He also mentioned how Lydia was hearing dead people, and how the werewolves were probably the Darachs next target.
