Bloody Problem

Let me just say that it's been a crazy past five days. I've really gotten to know everyone here at Beacon Hills. I've gone over to somebody's house after school everyday (and yes, before you ask I DID text my dad before going anywhere) and this whole 'new kid' thing hasn't turned out so badly. Except, I keep feeling like everyone around me knows something that I don't. There's a lot of whispering or shushing whenever I'm around. It's not as much uncomfortable as it is suspicious.

On the subject of things that are suspicious, you wouldn't believe what happened during class the other day! A huge flock of crows bursted through the windows almost like they were on a suicide mission. It was awful! I could feel them flying above Stiles, Lydia, and I as we tried to cower under some desks. That was certainly not the most enjoyable of class experiences.

Things have gotten slightly quieter since then. At least for me it has. My friend's seem to be busier and busier as the days go by and certainly more on edge. Maybe it was because our teachers were getting harder to handle. Especially Mr.Harris. It was like he tried to torture us, which I actually wouldn't doubt at all.

And what lucky kid got to his class this next period? Yep, me.

"How are you doing this lovely morning?"

I rolled my eyes. I was already having a headache this morning, and this jerk was not going to make it any better. "It may be lovely for you, but I'm having to talk to some idiot instead of going to class," I smiled at him sarcastically. Don't get me wrong, I usually don't just judge someone after not even a week, but Aiden just pushed button that shouldn't even be touched. Not to mention he and his brother had a row with Isaac at their track practice according to Scott, whom she asked. That definitely did not get the twins on my good side.

"Aw, come on, Avalon. You don't really mean that, babe," Aiden continued, getting uncomfortably close to me. I tried to back away from him, but it was then that I realized he had me pressed against the locker. His face got closer to mine that i could feel his breathing against my lips. "Now how about a kiss?"

I quickly darted out from under his arm that previously had me trapped. "I'd rather not," I told him quickly, turning and walking quickly to Mr.Harris' class. This would probably be the only time I 'd find that jerk's classroom as a safe haven.

"Isaac, calm down. They're just trying to get to you," Scott said calmly, trying to calm down his friend as he restrained him.

"Scott! He tried to kiss her! His lips about touched hers!" Isaac growled, his eyes turning from their normal blue to gold. The smirk on Aiden's face as their eyes met made Isaac want to run over and claw his face off. He'd like to see him try to kiss someone after that.

“Isaac! I REALLY do not want you to have an all out werewolf fight in the middle of the hallway!” Scott scolded under his breath. Isaac was about to continue towards Aiden, but seeing the look in Scott’s eyes stopped him from going any further.

“He and Ethan better watch their backs,” Isaac muttered, feeling defeated because he couldn’t go after Aiden.

“Fine with me, but we better get to class,” Scott said with a smile, walking with his curly-haired friend towards Mr.Harris’ classroom.

“Since inertia is a subject which you all know plenty: why don’t we start with inertia?” Mr.Harris droned to the class, causing me and probably half the rest of the class to zone out of what he was saying. I was just lucky he called on Danny instead of me, who was sitting beside him.

I was drawn out of my intense daydreaming when Isaac practically yelled, “Mr.Harris, I have to use to bathroom!”

All eyes turned to him, but surprisingly Mr.Harris let him go instead of giving him some long speech about wasting his class time by asking that question, which usually ended in more time wasted and an extra homework assignment.

“I have to use the bathroom too!” Scott exclaimed, standing up right as Isaac left the classroom.

Mr.Harris rolled his eyes. “Only one at a time, Mr.McCall.”

“But I really have to go! Like, medical emergency have to go!” Scott tried arguing.

I’m not quite sure all Mr.Harris retaliated with, but I’m pretty sure it was along the lines of: even if Scott’s bladder exploded, covering us all in urine, he still wouldn’t be allowed to go to the bathroom at the same time as Isaac. Yeah, it was pretty vivid. So vivid Scott gave it up and sat back down in his seat. Well, until we all heard banging on the lockers that were outside the classroom.

I have never seen Mr.Harris move so fast before. Once we all saw him heading to the door, we took off out of our seats. I gasped as I moved through the crowd, seeing what all the noise had been all about. Ethan was laying on the floor, swallowing a mouthful of blood. Danny immediately dropped on his knees to comfort the hurt boy.

Towering over the scene was a very confused-looking Isaac Lahey.

I moved myself slowly over to him as everyone was trying to figure out what to do about Ethan and his bloody mouth. I pulled on his sleeve until he leaned down so that he was my height. “Please tell me you have a good explanation for this,” I begged, not for one second beleiveing that he would have caused this kind of damage. “I mean, I know you don’t like him, but..”

“I didn’t do it,” Isaac pleaded with me, causing me to raise my eyebrow at him. What happened? Ethan beat himself to a pulp? As much as she wanted to believe him, it wasn’t looking good for him. “You just have to believe me. I can’t explain it all to you yet, but it’s more than just us not liking each other.”

“Why can’t you tell me?” I asked, feeling more left out now than I have all week. It was different for Lydia or Scott or one of them to not tell me something, but Isaac? I thought he was trying to be open with me. He had even told me about his father. It was a long talk in the back of her hummer, and she cried for about an hour while he told her that he was okay now, but it was sweet of him to share that nonetheless.

“I just can’t. It’s hard to explain why I can’t, but I can’t. All I can tell you is I’m going to be sitting in Mr.Harris’ class as lunch detention for something that I didn’t do,” Isaac whispered to me, not like it mattered. No one was focused on us two, possibly Scott, but he had gone somewhere not in my view.

I started to feel some sympathy for isaac. Not that I didn’t normally, but especially in this moment. As unlikely as what he said was, I could see it in his eyes that he honestly believed that he didn’t do it.

I groaned a bit at what I knew I was about to do, but I knew I had to. “Hey Mr.Harris!” I exclaimed, catching the teacher, and the rest of the class, ‘s attention. I took a deep breath. “You’re a dick!” I shrugged.

The crowd erupted in laughter and ‘oh snaps!’, but Mr.Harris remained unimpressed. “Well, Ms. Edwards. You’re going to think I’m a real ‘dick’ when you have to skip your lunch to help Mr.Lahey clean my classroom,” Mr.Harris smirked triumphantly, turning and going back into his classroom. “Class dismissed!” he exclaimed.

I turned to Isaac, whose jaw was dragging the floor. It was actually quite funny to see him so surprised by something I had done. I used my fingertips to close his mouth, laughing as I did so.

“Well, I guess you have plenty of time now to tell me what just happened,” I smiled, turning on my heel and walking off. I mentally high-fived myself for leaving Isaac so astounded.

I apologize if it's Aidan that was being punched by Ethan but I am REALLY bad at telling the difference! Feedback and Messages are always appreciated xxxxx ~Caroline
