Tyki sat back in his seat and gazed out the window of the carriage at the stars, almost not of his own will he took out a match and struck it on the side of the carriage door. He then moved the tiny flame up to the window, recreating the sky from that night, the night she lay in his arms. “Tyky?” a small voice sounded from next to him, Road, I had almost forgotten she was here! “Eh?” Tyki stammered as he hurriedly took a cigarette from his pocket and lit it to cover for himself. Road wrinkled her nose “You’ve been acting weird lately.” Tyki tugged at his collar, which all of a sudden seemed way too tight “mm.” he returned his attention to the slow passing stars. Road pouted “Tyky! Damn it tell me what’s wrong!” She began to throw quite the tantrum. Tyki sighed rolled his eyes and rested his chin on the open palm of his hand. Road continued to yell and furiously flailed her arms in the air “You never tell me anything is not faaaair! Ouh!-” Tyki had with his free hand, removed his top hat and pulled it way down over roads head. While Road helplessly struggled to get free of the hat, Tyki whispered under his breath “It’s… that girl…” No sooner than the words had left his lips, Road burst from the hat and practically pounced on him. She grabbed his shirt and yanked him closer “A GIRL! You have actually found A GIRL!” she cooed at him. Tyki wheezed “Road you’re kneeling on my stomach-” she rolled off “huuof!” Tyki complained.
Road sat, back straight, head up, legs crossed and hands folded together as she readied herself for Tyki’s tale. She twitched impatiently as he sat up and fixed his hair, “Soooo tell me! What’s she liiiiiike!” Road giggled. Tyki turned away to hide the slight blush on his face “So Road how’s school going?” he said trying to evade the subject. Road only smiled bigger “Tyky, you know I can make your life hell until you tell me! Hehe!” she taunted. Tyki shuddered at the thought of being pestered night after night over such a trivial matter, “Fine! Fine!” he replied. Tyki puffed his cigarette “She’s blonde… she has small pale blue eyes-” “She sounds cute!” Road interrupted, he glared at her “Oh sorry, continue hehe!”Honestly, why am I doing this? He asked himself before carrying on “She’s not your everyday…mmm proper lady.” Tyki laughed recalling the graphic scene of the two akuma being torn apart from the inside. Road ooooed and aaaahed, as he described the mystery woman in detail. “And…” Tyki stopped himself, closed an eye, let out a nervous laugh and brought his arm up behind his head. Road’s eyes sparkled “Aaaaaaannnd?” she whined. “And she has equip type innocence…” Road’s jaw dropped, “TYKY! SHES AN ECXORCIST?! BUT HOW? WHY?” She yelped with surprise.“Tch! Like you can throw stones!” Tyki shrugged and maliciously grinned, “How many more times are you going to wright ‘Road Walker’ on your note book before you run out of ink or something?” he teased. Road was flushed red, shoving her note book deeper into the bag next to her on the seat. Tyki slowly grabbed his hat and returned it to the top of his head, its rim casting a dark shadow that concealed his eyes. “Oh my… guess it must run in the family.” He joked and sighed, I have to see her again… he smirked at the thought. No… not have to… I want to.

Shaun hadn’t left her room in three days, No one noticed, no one even cared. She told herself “I’m just as much monster to them as I was before.” She whispered under her breath, “A useful monster.” She punched the wall hard with her right hand, splitting her knuckles and spattering blood on the plaster and stone. The fresh red stain joining many others on the otherwise empty wall. Shaun’s legs weakened and she dropped to the ground. She slowly brought her quivering right hand up to her face and examined the reopened wounds, But what am I to him? She pushed her hair out of her face and cringed as each strand ran over her raw bloodied knuckles, soaking up a fair amount of the blood as they did so. Leaving a dark red streak in her golden hair, even with the stinging pain, this still brought back the memory of each strong finger soothingly combing through it. Knock! Knock! The sound broke the maddening silence of her room and temporarily halted chaos in her mind. Knock! Knock! Shaun clumsily rose to her feet “GO AWAY!” she snarled at the door. Knock! Knock! The sound rang out again, Shaun wild eyed and panting moved towards the door. Grasping the knob with her throbbing right hand and steadily opening it to reveal a pissed of Kanda with a tray of food. Kanda’s brow furrowed at the sight of Shaun in such ragged shape, his eyes followed a stray drop of blood that rolled off her hand and fell to the hard ground. Making no comment on her present appearance he scolded her “That wall has two sides you know.” He thrusted the platter of food at her chest, She instinctively grabbed it. Shaun pulled back her lip baring her teeth like an animal; “I don’t need your pity.” she shot at him, dropping the platter to the ground. Kanda turned and walked to the neighboring door, “Fine, Starve see if I care.” As he disappeared inside, Shaun studied the mess of food slopped in front of her. The tray landed right side up and other than the mashed potatoes and a few stray green beans, the food had remained on the platter. Shaun looked left, then right to see if anyone was watching before swiftly snatching up the platter and retreating inside. Kanda came out of his door and proceeded down the hall opposite of her room, he stopped halfway through. Kanda turned his head back down the hall, noticing the absence of the tray; he ever so slightly smiled, returned his head forward and continued down the arced hall.
