Tyki and his friends began to make their way home from the train station, Clark contently counted the money they had conned off of some big shot noble and Momo took a quick swig from the silver flask in his hand. Tyki was whistling a tune as they walked while Ease happily clung to his back, he was feeling a thousand times better, almost back to his old self again. He hadn’t forgotten the mess he was in, but for the time being he didn’t have a care in the world. “So how much did we get this time?” Momo said through a cough as he wiped away the liquor dripping down his chin with one arm, “I’m still countin’ it doesn’t that tell ya enough?” He grinned, “Ya but you never were too quick with math.” Tyki teased. “Oi shut your trap, you’re no better.” Clark laughed, looking down at the half crushed bills in his hand he closed his fingers around them and shoved them deep into his coat pocket. “C’mon let’s get some food then, Ease hasn’t eaten a thing all day and neither have I.” Momo pointed out patting his stomach with a smile, Tyki popped the little boy up in the air a bit to fix his position and nodded in agreement. “Let’s stop at home first though, I ran outta smokes and I know I got a pack in there somewhere.” Clark rolled his eyes at the Noah, “Ya ya just make it quick.” He chuckled before turning to Momo and patting his pocket. “Hey we got plenty enough, you guys up for a few drinks tonight?” He asked glancing back over to Tyki as well . Tyki tilted his head in confusion, “I thought we had the early shift tomorrow morning? Last time we drank before workin’ that early didn’t turn out that great… remember.” Tyki grinned, Clark laughed nervously and put both arms up behind his head, “Hey just because I was still a little drunk and so I maybe hit on the overseers daughter a little bit…” He trailed off. Momo and Tyki shared a look and then exploded with laughter, Tyki just barely able to keep Ease on his back. “What!?” Clark asked shooting the two men a glare, “You were more than a little drunk you dumbass! You hit on the overseer not his daughter!” Momo howled, remembering the overseers twisted and disgusted face. “What!? N-n-no! That never happened!” Clark growled, stumbling over his words. “Ya it did!” Ease giggled, his happy eyes twinkling. “There ya go, can’t argue with that now can ya!” Tyki chuckled. “Ya whatever even if it did, it won’t happen this time anyway, the mine is closed.” Clark informed, Tyki was confused again, “Yup.” Momo sighed, taking another drink from his dull silver flask. Noticing the twisted expression on his friends face Momo began to explain, “You remember that older fellow that dragged your drunk ass back home right?” Tyki nodded in reply, “Well he disappeared ‘bout two days ago looking for the canary. People are sayin’ that he found her.” Momo’s eyes darkened a little as he spoke. Tyki fought to suppress a laugh, knowing exactly what became of the pestering finder, “No way that that’s true, he probably just left or something.” Tyki smiled, “That’s what we all thought too until the other guys started goin’ missing.” Clark chimed in. Tyki’s smile quickly faded, Other guys? But I only killed the finder, what the hell? “None of ‘em have been found so they closed the mine until they figure out what happened.” Momo finished, I have a bad feeling about this…

As their little house came into view, Ease slid off Tyki’s back and began to walk the rest of the way, Momo and Clark were too busy arguing about something else to notice how uncharacteristically silent their friend was being. While Ease tried his best to get them to stop fighting, Tyki turned the beat up brass handle and pushed the door open, There in front of him, in the center of the tiny house, was a tall red and black checkered doorway with gold trim and decoration he knew all too well. Panicking he quickly slammed the front door shut, he spun to face his friends pushing his back up against the door with both arms holding it shut. They all stared at him, wide eyed in surprise. “Aaauuhh-uh-umm.” He stammered, “Umm, why don’t you guys go on ahead and I'll meet up with ya there.” He smiled nervously, “Tyki?” Ease’s small voice was confused, “You alright bud?” Clark asked raising his brow at the flustered Noah. “Oh ya I’m fine! Everything is fine! I just… don’t think you… think I… Should be keeping you guys when I can just go in and grab the pack myself!” He lied, starting to sweat a little bit. “You sure you’re ok? Did something happen?” Momo asked taking a step towards Tyki. “No! No really! You guys go, I’ll catch up I promise!” He said shooing them away. Tyki’s friends shared a concerned look with one another, hesitating to leave Tyki when he seemed to be freaking out about something all of a sudden, but eventually they listened and went on ahead without him. As soon as Tyki was sure they were far enough away he opened the door again and practically ran inside to avoid being seen, changing to into his Noah from as he did so. He pressed his back against the other side of the door and practically deflated, slowly sliding down until he touched the ground. He sat facing Road’s door in his usual black pants and dress shirt, the door was slightly ajar so he knew that she was in there somewhere, Tyki closed his eyes and let out a long sigh. “Road, I don’t know why you’re here but I-” “Road isn’t the only one here…” Boomed a voice from the far right side of the room, Tyki took in a deep breath, opening his eyes halfway he slowly turned his attention to the three figures standing by the wall. “Sheril, Road, Wisely…” He greeted icily.
