It was the next day and Jungkook was already in school, sitting in the cafeteria while staring at the wall. He was way too early and school would only start in 15 minutes but he couldn't sleep the whole night and he was bored at home so he decided to already leave for school. He really didn't think there would be anyone this early and that's exactly what he wanted, to be alone. But he was terribly wrong as another person entered the cafeteria and Jungkook really wished his life would stop fucking with him for once. The person entering was no other than Kim Taehyung himself. Jungkook wanted nothing more than to smash his head on the table and just die right then and there, but of course he couldn't move at all and just stared at the boy. As Taehyungs gaze met his he quickly looked away, getting pulled out of his dreaming and stood up. He grabbed his backpack and walked to the exit but he had to pass the elder boy for that. He saw how Taehyung smiled shyly at him, still not knowing how to act around each other since they fought. But the younger just ignored his friend and moved pass him quickly and without looking back. He kinda felt bad, but he couldn't look him in the eyes right now. Not after what he heard and... did. Then there was this argument they had a few days before so he was even more conflicted about how he should behave around Tae. Jungkook needed some time for himself but the edler seemed to have other plans.

Taehyung sighed again. He didn't know how often he did this in the last 5 minutes but it had to be a lot because the girl next to him rolled her eyes, obviously being annoyed. They had lessons right now and had to do partner work. Of courses Tae hoped he could be partners with Jungkook but the younger didn't even spare him a glance and already asked someone else, so Tae ended up with a random girl who seemed to dislike it as much as he did. He really felt like a stalker but he couldn't help staring at his friend. _Why was Jungkook so distant?_ Yeah sure they fought, but they did this often in the past and always made up days later. But this time it was different. Jungkook didn't even seem to bother he straight of ignored the elder and always tried to avoid him. Taehyung huffed. _How should I make things right again?_

"Hyung? Taehyung? Tae?" The elder got woken up and and opened his eyes, rubbing them. When he lifted his head he was met with the sight of his friend, seeming a bit annoyed. He looked around and saw everyone left already, assuming the lesson was over and he could leave. He smiled at the younger and stood up, ready to talk to him but Jungkook was already walking away. "WAIT!" he stopped in his tracks. Taehyung didn't know why he wanted him to stop but it felt right, he needed to talk to his best friend. "You wanna go home together?" His voice was a bit quiet and he suddenly felt incredibly shy. Jungkook sighed. "Listen Taehyung.. I don't know if you noticed but I need a bit of space and time alone. So I would appreciate it if you would give me some." He looked at Taehyung with an unreadable expression. The elder swallowed the lump in his throat. _Space?_ "Uh-.. Okay.. I'm sorry.." He looked down and played with his sleeves, feeling intimidated by Jungkooks sharp gaze. The younger sighed again and turned around to leave. "Oh and Taehyung?" The elder looked up. "Could you stop staring at me in class? It distracts me." He turned around and left without another word, leaving Tae alone in the room. He slowly grabbed his stuff and left after a few minutes, making sure Jungkook was already gone so he doesn't have to see him again today. He felt some tears running down his face as he walked out of the school and quickly wiped them away. Even if Jungkook said he just needed space, Taehyung felt like they ended their friendship and that couldn't be happening. But what he didn't know was that the younger was still in school, sitting on the floor next to his locker, feeling guilty all over.
