Number One (Souma Kukai x reader)

Chapter 2

(Reader's POV)

"Hi, I'm (l/n) (f/n) it's nice to meet you."I said to the whole class. It appears that I'm in the same grade as Kukai.

"You may sit next to Kukai. Also, Kukai will show you around." The teacher said making me nod. I went next to Kukai and sat down next to him. I smiled and he smiled back.

-skip to end that class-

Kukai showed Score, Muse, Symphony and me around the school. We also talked, apparently, he has almost all classes with me except cooking.

"So if you need any of us, you can just go to the greenhouse." I nodded and spotted the soccer field which he was gonna show me now.

I ran with Score floating next to me. I stood on the field and spun. I then remembered that I didn't bring my soccer ball. I look at Kukai who is holding a soccer ball.

"Hey let's play!" I said eyes bright.

"Ok!"He puts the ball in the middle and Muse, Score, Symphony and Daichi were keeping score on the sidelines.

"GO!" We heard Score and Daichi yell making us start the game.

I kick the ball to his side and start running to the goal. He before I could get there, he took the ball away from me. I ran after him as our actions caught the attention of people.

I ran next to him and stole the ball and ran as fast as I could. I then shot it into the goal.

"Aww man!" Kukai said just as the bell rang. I laughed and ran to the outside of the field and picked up both of our bags as he walks to me. I put on my bag and give him his.

"C'mon we're gonna be late." I grab his hand and ran to the next class.

-le skip to lunch-

"(Name) c'mon, let's eat with the guardians." I nod and follow him to the greenhouse.

We entered and waved to them. I sat down and pulled out my lunch out. It was hotdogs with rice and apple bunnies.

"Aww, can I have an apple bunny?" Yaya asked me I gesture to my food and she grabbed a few.

I started eating as the others did too. I gave Muse, Symphony and Score some of my lunch. We got some food with our chopsticks and put it in out mouths at the same time.

"Wow, it's like you guys are the same people." Daichi said eating some of Kukai's lunch.

"They are basically my personalities so yeah." I said and continued eating.

-le skip to the next class and to the assembly-

"Hello every body." Tadase said into the mike as a bunch of the girls fangirled.

"Today, we have got a new guardian, please come up (Name)-senpai." I pouted and stood up and went to them. I stood next to Kukai and we smiled.

"(Name)-senpai will be the Number One." Tadase said gesturing to me. I waved a little and felt someone drape something over me. I look up to see Nadeshiko draping a cape over my shoulders.

The student body cheered making me blush slightly. I stood behind Kukai a little. He chuckled at my action and pushed me next to him.

"Would you like to say something (Name)-senpai?" Tadase asked me.

"Na I'm good!" I said waving my hand out in front of me. This made him chuckle also.

-le time skip to end of the day-

I waited for my brother at the front gate with my headphones on. I looked to my left to see him with a girl making me wiggle my eyebrow.

"This your girlfriend (B/n)?" I asked him making the two of them blush.

"N-no, she's my friend." He said looking away.

"Hey don't worry I'm sure he'll ask you out later on." I said to the girl who blushed and looked down.

"(Name)!" I look up to find Kukai running to me. I wave and he waved back.

"Who's that sis? Your boyfriend?" (B/n) asked wiggling his brow.

"O-oi!" I said and ruffled his hair.

"Who're these two?" Kukai asked looking at my brother and his girlfriend.

"Oh, this is my brother (B/n) and this is...." I looked at her remembering that I don't know her name.

"Oh my name is Mitsuki Aname." Aname said then looked at her watch.

"Oh I have to go (B/n). I'll see you tomorrow." Aname said running off.

"I'm gonna go home now sis." (B/n) said and started walking in the opposite direction of where our house is.

"Your going the wrong way." I said and looked up at Kukai who was trying now to laugh which made me smile.

"I knew that!" (B/n) said running to the right direction making me laugh along with Kukai.

"What's up Kukai-kun?" I asked the boy in front of me.

"Well, one of my team mates saw us playing soccer earlier and asked me to bring you over." He said rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh ok. Let me just call my mom that I'll be home later on ok?" I asked him taking out my phone and pausing he song I was listening to and put my head phones away.

-time skip to the soccer field-

"Alright, you will be playing for the blue team." The coach said to me.

I don't know what happened. When we got here, the coach said that I had to play so I did. Good thing I didn't wear my flats today.

I was the attacking midfielder. I took my position and the game started. One of my team mates passed the ball to me and so? I headed to the other team's goal. I dodged all of the other's attempts to get the ball.

As I was about to kick the ball to the goal, Kukai took away the ball. I ran after him and he kicked it to his team mate. I took the ball away from the team mate and passed it to one of my team mates.

As we got closer, the team mate passed it to me and I kicked it into the goal. The goalie tried to stop it but it deny in anyways.

"I only had to play one game right?" I asked the coach and he nodded. I sighed and took my bag.

"I have to go home." I put on my headphones and started walking. I then felt a hand on my shoulder.

"What is it Kukai-kun?" I looked back to see him gasping for air.

"The practice is over anyway so," He took another gasp of air," I'll walk you home."

"Alright." I said and waited so he could get his bag.

We walked home talking about soccer and sports and stuff. When we got to my house, Kukai seemed surprised.

"Why do you look so surprised?" I asked him.

"Well you know that house?" He pointed to the house next to mine. I nodded.

"That's my house." I stared at him then I started laughing which he joined into.

"Well neighbor, I'll see ya tomorrow." I waved and entered my house as he walked to his house.
