okay, we're on part four now. and to be honest, i don't know where this is heading lmao. welp.

It was only four in the morning when (Y/N) arrived in front Queen's quarters. She was rocking back and forth on her heels as she tried to calm herself about the possible tasks she is about to receive.

She was certain that those tasks are not going to be easy, and she may be having death knocking at her door the moment she accepts the Queen's challenge.

However, an image of Minho appeared right behind her closed eyelids, and she smiled. She was doing this for him—she was doing this so she can be worthy of his love so that no one can question their relationship anymore.

Minho was worth taking the risk.

"You're here early."

(Y/N) jumped at the sudden sound of the booming voice that seemed to come from every single corner at once. Her eyes darted here and there, turning around, and they landed on the Queen, fully clothed and seeming to shine brightly even in the darkness. She immediately bowed her head in respect.

"Good morning to you too, (Y/N)." said Aglaea. "Come on, I will personally escort you to where you will complete your first task."

Without any argument, (Y/N) followed the Queen's footsteps, and soon they arrived in the gardens.

It was an enormous landscape, the plants were in full bloom, and the whole of it seemed like a maze.

It was dazzling.

"I will give you two tasks," Aglaea speaks up. "This will be your first challenge, to prove if you are worthy of marrying my son."

(Y/N) nodded.

"You see this?" the Queen asks. (Y/N) nods again.

"This is my garden. I personally take care of every single plant in this place. That's why they grow so beautifully," she basked in her own glory as she chuckled at her work. "Now, this is a simple task—I want you to go into that maze. When the sun fully rises, you will enter the maze, and you will have to go out to the other side in one piece by midnight."

(Y/N) looked up at the walls. They were all made of ancient stone, and they were covered in thick ivy. She nodded once more, "Yes, your Highness."

"You will absolutely have no access to any magic whatsoever," the Queen warned. "If I learn that you used any kind of trick, I will have you beheaded. Understood?"

(Y/N) gulped nervously. "Yes, your Highness."

Aglaea seemed satisfied. "Good," and then she disappeared in thin air.

"I know you can do it," Minho hyped her up as he massaged her shoulders. "You can do it."

"I don't know, it sounds so easy, but I know that it's not gonna be a walk in the park," (Y/N) replied as she fiddled with her fingers, a habit she does whenever she feels nervous. "I've seen this in the movies, Minho. Your Mother's gonna be one tough woman."
