Chapter 12

We were walking in silence and I was in desperate need of breaking it."So, uh, how do feel about this band thing?"

"I think we can do it. I mean not becoming the biggest band or anything, but it could lead somewhere." He was talking to me, with his eyes stuck to the road under his feet.

"Yeah, it could."

"Em, Stef can I ask you something?"

He rubbed the back of his neck still facing down.

"Sure." I started playing with my fingers.

"Would you like to go out with me sometime, like on a date?" He paused and lifted his head up finally looking at me.

"Um, sure. Why not?" I smiled.

"Great. I'd like to spend more time with you." You could finally see some sort of happiness forming on his face.

"Yeah, that would be nice." I smiled once more and turned my head to the road in front of me.

We arranged our date on our way to my place.

"So, this is it?" I stopped right outside my yard.

"Let me walk you to your front door." He opened the small door beside us and stepped aside letting me walk in.

"Sure." I smiled. He walked right next to me until we reached the door.

"So, here we are." He stopped in front of my door moving his feet awkwardly on the ground.

"Thank you for coming with me."

"No problem. Goodnight." He smiled.

"Goodnight. I'll see you tomorrow." I kissed his cheek not really realizing my moves.

"Right, on our date." He looked down smiling, his cheek lightly blushing. He walked away and I stood there watching him leave. He looked towards me one last time, I smiled and turned my back to unlock the door.

My parents were at our neighbor's house as always and I was home alone. I made dinner and went straight upstairs. I watched a movie and fell asleep before my parents came home.
