The Funeral

(A couple days later)

"Star?! You ready to go?!" Her mom called up to her.

"Yeah coming!" Star called back.

She walked down the stairs wearing a black dress with tear stained cheeks and her eyes full of tears.

"Oh hon. Everything will eventually be okay." Her mom told her whipping Star's tears.

"I don't think so Mom. My best friend died!" Star yelled and she started crying into her mom's chest.

(At the funeral)

Marco's mom was in the middle of talking when Star looked over and saw Jackie on the other side whipping her eyes.

(After the funeral)

"Jackie, hey." Star Said running up to her.

"Hey Star." Jackie replied as she kept walking.

"How are you doing?" Star asked.

"I'm okay, but I should be asking you this question. I'm mean he was your best friend." Jackie told her.

"I know, but..." Star started.

"I should go." Jackie said after. 

Star stood there and watched her walk away.

(The next day)

"Star! You're here!" Janna called walking up to her at school.

"Hey Janna." Star replied mopey.

"How you holding up?" Janna asked/

"Look Janna I'd rather not talk about it." Star told her.

"Alright, well you know I'm here for you." Janna replied telling her before walking away.

(During class)

Star was sitting at her desk as the teacher rambled on about something, but Star wasn't paying attention instead she was staring out the window.

As she was looking out the window she saw someone that looked exactly like Marco. 

Her head shot up more and she stared at the person, until the teacher said. "Star? You alright?" 

"What? Oh uh... Can I use the bathroom?" Star asked replying.

"Yes of course." The teacher answered.

After Star ran out she texted Janna to meet her in the girl's locker room.

Star waited for Janna come out and, then she finally did.

"Finally you're here!" Star said when Janna walked in.

"Sorry. I had to wait for someone else to come back." Janna explained.

"Whatever. But Janna I saw him." Star told her.

"Who?" Janna asked giving Star a confused look.

"Marco." Star said.

"What? How? Star he's dead. We went to his funeral." Janna told her putting her hand on her shoulder.

"What if he didn't though. What if he's still out there." Star tried saying.

"No Star! He's dead! He's gone! He's not still alive." Janna yelled.

Star was speechless. She didn't say anything. She was shocked.

"You.... You're right." Star responded and walked out.

(After school)

Star was walking home when she saw him again.

She stopped and started walking towards him, but when she got around the corner he was gone.

When she got home Janna was there sitting at the kitchen table.

"What's going on?" Star asked shutting the door behind her.

"Star Janna came over because she said that you were telling her that you saw Marco today." Her mom explained.

"Because I did. And I did again." Star said.

"Star." Her mom started.

"No! I know I saw him!" Star yelled and ran upstairs.

Janna ran up after her.

When she got up there she lightly knocked on the door.

"Star? Can I come in?" Janna asked.

"I guess." Star answered.

Janna opened the door and took a seat on Star's bed.

"I don't know Janna. I saw Marco. Twice!" Star said sitting up on her bed.

"Maybe you did. Maybe you didn't, but you know you is dead we saw them bury him. 

"Yeah you're right. Thanks Janna." Star said hugging Janna.

"Of course." Janna said hugging her back.
