*April 2015*
"Come on Aspen, it could be the chance of a lifetime!" Briar, my best friend, begs me. "Yeah, I mean what if we actually get to meet the boys." Libby sighs, dreamily. "I don't know guys, the people trying out are going to be professionals. I just don't want to make a fool of myself." I tell the blonde and brunette girls.
"Girls! Get back to work!" Ms. Kinder our dance teacher yells at us. I turn towards the ballet barre. "We are not done talking about this!" Briar whisper threatens me, in between plies.
I nod and look at my reflection in the mirror. My friends and family tell me that I'm beautiful, but I'm pretty certain they are only saying that to be nice. I have long, wavy blonde hair with purple ends. My pale skin makes my blue eyes pop.
Libby's delicate features and curves make her very pretty. She also has a rare combination of really dark brown eyes and light blonde hair.
Briar has dark brown hair and emerald green eyes. She has that amazing tropical babe look to her.
The music ends and our warm-ups are over. I hurry over to get a drink from my water bottle before it's time to begin our dance. Lib and Briar come with me.
"I've decided that I'm not giving you a choice. You have to come tryout. If any of us have a chance it's you." Briar commands me. Lib and I laugh at Briar's usual bossiness. "Fine. I give in, I'll tryout." I shrug my shoulders. The girls cheer.
Ms. Kinder yells at us to hurry up and we begin our dance.
I lose myself in the music. My feet fly over the hardwood floor. I pique diagonally, ending in a right-leg leap. I move to the center of the room and end the dance with a twelve turn fouetté. Ms. Kinder claps and we collapse to the floor in exhaustion.
Hey guys! This chapter is a little bit boring, but I swear it gets better. Hope you enjoy, love ya!!!
