Last night after I got out the shower I didn't even bother putting the make up on, me and Jaylee fell asleep on my bed.
When I woke up this morning I heard banging pots in the kitchen, and I turned over to make sure she was still there.
I sighed in relief when I saw her sleeping like a baby.
It was 6:30, and I was just waiting for The Man to leave.
At about 6:45 he finally left and I hopped up and went to look in the mirror in the corner of my room.
I gasped. The black eye had turned a purplish-black color, the bruise on my cheek was more visible, my nose hadn't swelled down, and the whips on my body were bright red and visible, and I was walking with a limp, and my broken arm was aching.
I sighed, and went into the bathroom. I don't think foundation will cover this up, but we'll just have to see.
I got out all of my makeup, and frowned, because I will have to cake my face up with makeup to make none of this visible, and I'd be doing it with one and a half hand.
After about five minutes, the black eye and bruise on my cheek wasn't noticeable, but my swelled up nose was still swelled up.
I went back into my room, and Jaylee was already woke, usually I'd pick her up, but my body was in too much pain.
"Good morning love." I forced a smile.
"It's not a good morning mommy." She looked angry.
"I know.. Want some cereal?"
She just nodded, and got out of bed. We walked down the stairs, and into the kitchen.
"What kind?" I asked her.
"Reese's Puffs." She said in a low voice.
I nodded and poured her and myself a bowl of reese's puffs.
We ate in silence.
After we were finished I took her up to the bathroom and she brushed her teeth, and I put her hair in a big bun on top of her head, and added a blue bow to it.
We walked into her room, and I put her on a stripped white and blue dress, and her white sandals.
She put her jacket and bookbag on and went downstairs to watch tv in the living room.
We rarely get to, because he doesn't allow it, but when he isn't here I let Jaylee watch tv.
I went into the bathroom, and combed and blow dried my curls out so my hair would be wavy.
Once I got it how I wanted it, I brushed my teeth, and then walked into my room.
I couldn't wear capris, or a short sleeved shirt unless I kept my jacket on, so I picked out some white skinny jeans, a turquoise collared shirt, and my white Tom's. I put on my wrist band, and a turquoise headband.
I grabbed my jacket and bag, and left out the room.
Doing all of that was extra painful and hard for me, because I did it all with one and a half hand, and my body hurts everywhere.
I walked down the steps, and saw Jaylee on the couch watching some cartoon.
"Come on, time to go."
Every time I talked my cheek would hurt, so I decided I'd try not to talk as much as I can.
She turned off the tv, and we headed to my car.
When we were both buckled up, I drove off towards Jaylee's school.
