Midoriya hated this feeling, but who didn't? His stomach turned with nausea and his throat itched with a cough. The Madame of the household gave him a mask to keep it to himself though he didn't believe it to be contagious. He would need to see recovery girl to be sure when he arrived at school.

The Madame's attempt at washing his uniform failed miserably as it was still... stained. He wore his gym clothes for a temporary replacement until he got a new one.

He looked up at his school when he stepped through the gates, he was already dreading it just walking in. Around him, people joked and laughed, smiling like there was nothing wrong in the world. Like what happened to him wasn't wrong. He looked so out of place, but no one could notice his uniform-breaking downcast look under his mask.

Voices tugged his ear and he rushed into a nearby room, recognizing them as people he didn't want to immediately see. He leaned against the wall and looked out the cracked door as Uraraka and Iida passed by the opening. He flinched back, hiding as he heard his name on their tongue. Contrary to his belief, they actually hadn't noticed him. They were talking about him, though.

"I wonder what's happened to Midoriya," Iida said, his strict mannerisms relaxed due to worry. Midoriya leaned in closer, waiting for them to pass. Their voices growing more distant, the green-eyed boy had to strain his ears to catch Uraraka's response.

"Yeah, it's so unlike Deku to miss school." Uraraka, of course, was correct. But Midoriya had no time to dwell on that as they disappeared down the corridor. He dashed out of the room and down the hall a little before calmly walking into Recovery Girl's office.

She turned at the sound of his entrance and looked at him. She knew everything. The accident, the orphanage, and Midoriya's sorrow. She was shocked, though, to see him so sickly. She was shocked to see him at all.

"Midoriya, you've come to see me?" She knew why but still asked. He was fragile and she needed to tread lightly.

After he attempted to rasp out his first word, he was pushed into a coughing fit. Chiyo reached into her desk and brought out a jar of individually wrapped candies. "Take one." Was all she said. Midoriya immediately obeyed and grabbed a candy; which, upon taste, he identified as a cough drop. He placed his mask back over his mouth as he sucked on the burning candy, it southing his throat.

"I'm ill." He spoke out after coughing as the overwhelming flavor that exploded in his mouth, catching him off guard.

Chiyo hummed, "I had no idea." She spoke dully, turning around in her chair, facing her computer. Midoriya couldn't recognize what she was doing on it, but he assumed she knew what was displayed on the screen. "Symptoms?"

"Coughing, headache, sore throat, I have no appetite, I'm having trouble breathing and I'm nauseous." He recited, extending a finger for each he listed off. Chiyo gestured to Midoriya and he followed, leaning in closer to her. She placed the back of her hand on his forehead and looked into his eyes for a couple seconds; he leaned back when she shooed him away.

"You don't have a fever. Must have broken before you came here, remarkably. These symptoms are most likely caused by stress. It seems like you're rejecting the world, psychologically. I mean, it's not like I have a degree in any of the such, but looking at your state, it's almost like you developed mysophobia. I'm almost impressed with how quickly you've become this amount of mentally ill."

Her explanation confused Midoriya. Mysophobia? What's that? "Huh?" the sound came out dopey, and it reminded her of Kaminari.

"Mysophobia is a fear of germs. But your case is weird. You're not repeatedly washing your hands, you're not wearing gloves or sanitizing anything you touch. It's more like you're disgusted with everything around you. You don't want to receive anything from the world, whether it be oxygen, food, and even light."
