1. Anniversaries & phone calls

Dylan POV

Today is me & my boyfriends 1 year anniversary. It also happens to be me & jakes 2 year break-up anniversary.

I try not to think about it I just try to have a good time with ash but we haven't spoken since he left.

"Ready to go babe?" Ashton asked me. "Yep" I said getting up pecking him on the lips.

He grabbed my hand and we walked out of OUR apartment and to his car. We drove to a club downtown because we both love the music down there.

We got out of the car & into the club. We were stopped by some fans on the way in. oh, did I not mention that he's in a band? 5sos? Ever heard of them? yeah.

We walked in the club and started to dance & while we were dancing I ran into someone. "Oh shit- sorry I" i said looking at the person. "Colby?" I asked embracing him with a hug. "Dylan!" He said hugging me back.

"Oh my gosh!" I said looking at him. "I've missed you so much Dylan" he said. "Babe?" I heard Ashton said coming up behind us.

"Ashton babe this is Colby were we best friends like 2 years ago" I said. "Colby this is Ashton, my boyfriend" I said looking at Colby. "Your boyfriend?" He asked. "1 year" Ashton said.

"Wow well congrats" Colby said looking at us. "Well who are you here with Devyn? Cor-" I stopped in my tracks when I saw a way too familiar face across the club. Jake.

Our eyes met and all of the good memories came flooding in. "Dylan?" Ashton asked. "I-I uh" I said. Then Jake turned and looked away. "Ashton? Can I talk to Colby alone please?" I asked. "Yeah sure I'll be over there" he said walking away. "Dylan are you ok?" Colby asked.

"What? Yeah yeah I'm ok?" I said. "do u wanna go back to the house maybe see devyn or something?" Colby asked. "No no today is our 1 year anniversary I kinda wanted to hang out with him" I said looking back at Ashton.

"Tomorrow?" He asked. "Tomorrow." I said. "It was nice seeing you" he said hugging me. I started to walk away when me and Jake crossed paths.

As we were walking past we both looked back and looked at each other but both continued walking. "Hey ash?" I said walking. "Yeah babe" he said back. "I wanna leave" I said hugging him. "Ok I'll get the car ready" he said walking out.

He got the car and we drove home. On the way home he asked me "is Colby the one that-" he started "no" I said quickly.

"Colby and I were just friends" I said. "ok" he replied. We walked inside "wait babe come here" he said grabbing me lightly.

He kissed me. "What was that for?" I asked. "me" he said laughing. "But I got you something" he said reaching in his pocket.

"Babe! We said no gifts!" I said crossing my arms. " I know I know but" he said pulling out a long box. He opened it and it was a gold bracelet that said i will always love you.

"Ashton it's perfect" i said looking at it. He smiled and I hugged him. "Your the best" I said letting go. "The best? That's all I get?" He said laughing.

I kissed his cheek "the best boyfriend in the world" I said laughing. "Just a kiss on the cheek? That's all I get?" He said again. "Ok stop being greedy" I said laughing. "That's it" he said chasing me smiling.

I screamed and started laughing when he tackled me on to our bed. He kissed me. "You feel better now?" I said laughing. "Yep" he said hopping off me and turning on the tv.

We were laying in bed when he got a phone call. "Gotta take this" he said getting up and leaving the room.

I nodded watching him walk out. Me being me I was curious so I listened. "Hello?" he said. There was silence for a second. "I totally forgot I'm sorry" he said. Forgot about what?

"Can you guys just do it without me it's me and Dylan's anniversary" he said sounding annoyed. There was more silence "Ok ok yeah" he said.

"No no I understand" he said. "Yeah I'll be there in um.. 10 minutes" he said. "Ok bye". I ran back into our bed. He walked in. A frown appeared on my face because I knew what he was going to say.

He saw my face and said "you listened didn't you?". I shrugged my shoulders and looked away. "Listen dylan I'm so sorry I'll be back in like- Well um I'll be home by 5 ok?" He said grabbing his jacket from the closet.

"5am?" I asked, it was only 11pm . He sighed. "Dylan this is a really important session" he said looking at me. "I know but it's our - whatever it fine just go" I said grabbing my phone.

"Dylan" he said. I didn't say anything. "Dylan come here" he said standing at the door of our room. I just looked at him and sighed and got up.

He pulled me into a hug and said "please don't be mad at me I'll make up for it" he said not breaking the hug. "You always say that" I said mumbling. "and I always do, Don't I?" He said laughing.

I laughed and said "yeah". "ok then" he said letting go. "I love you. I'll be back" he said kissing my forehead and walking out.

I sighed and sat back down on my bed. Ashton would do this sometimes. Get a call, get his jacket, say sorry, leave, come back, make up for it. He hasn't done it in a while though I was kinda waiting for it to happen again I just didn't think it would be on our anniversary.

I mean don't get me wrong I support Ashton and his band but it gets in the way of our relationship sometimes. I sat in our bed and got bored so I texted Colby.

10 am. Ashton would still be sleeping. Not that he cares that I have male friends it's just you know how over protective boyfriends are. I was really exited for tomorrow I would see Devyn, sam, Corey and - shit. I'm so stupid I didn't think. Oh my gosh. What am I gonna do? I can't see jake tomorrow. I just hope he won't be there. please don't be there.
