On the eastern side of the city, Tanner Malmedal was 17 years old and the nerd of his school and was constantly made fun of. He wasn't picked on because of his soulmate marks though. He was picked on because of his thick rimmed glasses and lanky body. Tanner didn't have friends and liked to spend his free time alone in the library reading books. No one at his school even knew if Tanner had soulmate marks because he was always wearing long-sleeved shirts. The only people that knew about his soulmate marks were his family.
Tanner never discussed his marks with anyone because he knew that he would be shunned for having two. He was self-conscious enough about his appearance that he didn't want the ridicule for having two soulmates added on. Tanner had two long and wide dashes on his left wrist. The dashes were an inch and ½ long and ½-inch-wide, the top one was coral with a black A in the middle of it, and the bottom one was orange with a black W in the middle of it. Tanner didn't think that he was blessed or special to have two soulmates he thought that he was being messed with and he was embarrassed about it.
