Alina smiled at Mariah and thanked her as she walked into the room. She was surprised to see a young man sitting at the desk in the middle of the room. As far as Alina could tell Woodland Demars was in his early twenties with short dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was very attractive, but Alina had a feeling that for him to look that good there had to be a flaw in his personality.

Woods got himself situated in his chair before Alina came into the office. He wanted to look superior, but friendly at the same time. He was surprised when he saw a gorgeous brunette walk through the door. She was on the short and young side, but what really stood out to Woods was Alina's bright hazel eyes. He could tell that this was what the company needed. A young, hardworking, beautiful, friendly, and talented girl to greet clients when they first walked through the doors. Woods stood up from his desk and walked around it to meet Alina for a handshake. He realized that he was right about her height, he stood a 5'8" and she was four inches shorter than him.

As soon as their hands connected they both felt something weird. A warm, tingling sensation ran through their bodies. It started from their soulmate marks and ended in their hearts. They stood their staring into each other's eyes, until Woods broke the silence and moment.

Woods resumed his power stance and said, "I am Woodland Demars and owner of this company. All of the employees here call me Woods and if you are to work here you will as well."

There it was, the flaw in his personality that Alina figured would be there. This man was acting cold-hearted and had this sense that he owned everyone that worked under him. As the interview went on he was getting worse. Woods was barely listening to her answers and was on his phone for most of the interview. When he wasn't on his phone he was staring at her like she was a piece of meat. Alina didn't want to put up with his bad attitude, but Alina knew that she didn't want to go back to job hunting. Once the interview ended Woods had hired Alina and told her that she was going to start tomorrow.

"Oh Alina, one more thing before you leave. I assume you saw the empty desk on the first floor when you walked in, correct?" Woods questioned.

"Yes Sir, what about it?" she replied.

"Please I told you to call me Woods, only my receptionist calls me sir. Anyway, our manager of IT will be there shortly to set up your computer. I want you to stop by, so he can show you how the system works," Woods replied with a dashing smile.

Alina turned around and rolled her eyes, "Yes S...I mean Woods." She knew it was him because she saw a mark on his wrist as the cuff of his shirt moved up his arm. When he reached out to her she saw her favorite color and an A right in the middle of the mark. She couldn't believe that this was one of her soulmates. He was probably the worst human being that she had ever come across. As she headed down to the first floor she hoped that whenever she met her second soulmate they wouldn't be as bad as Woodland.

Woods released a huge breath and got the biggest smile on his face. His favorite color was on Alina's wrist with a W right in the middle of the mark. He only noticed the mark because it started to glow under her bracelets and he noticed his mark with the A was glowing as well. He had met his first soulmate. She was gorgeous and the sweetest girl he had ever spoken to. He could only hope that his second female soulmate would be as great as Alina. As he was sitting there daydreaming about his two women, one with a name and face now, he realized something. Oh no, I was acting like a total ass. She probably hates me right now! I have to make this right, but how can I make it up to her. He sat at his desk for the rest of the day thinking about how he was going to fix his mistake.
