And he was right. The officers sure hadn't liked being kept waiting for so long. The meeting had gone for an hour with Jason trying his best not to yawn almost every five minute or so. He hadn't picked anything useful from this whole conversation except for a few details. The new report that said, that they had successfully closed in on the raiders and they had nowhere much to run. If they moved out of their imaginary circle they would be caught immediately.
There was more. It seemed that the documents had been handed over to someone else.
The master mind, Jason guessed. So basically there were a total of three for this case.
And that was Jason's job.

After they had left he retired to his office, returning to his normal self trying to relax and give in to this peaceful thinking.
There was a knock. He could tell by the nature it was Wendy.

"Come in Wendy."
The little one appeared in closing the door behind and stood there arms folded behind her back.
"What is it?" asked Jason.
"Um.....that lady.....are you.....?"
"Yes I am. I am searching for her friend. I took her case."
Wendy was sweet. She didn't like to ignore people and her manners were almost great. Jason had thought Wendy might be thinking that he was ignoring the lady all along maybe because she came to the station twice.
"She didn't drink my coffee."
He almost laughed. She doesn't really take anything.
Except for the wallet and the picture, his mind corrected. But that too, was with him now.

"She looks nice." said Wendy.
Jason could already tell that Wendy had gone and admired her. She seemed like a wise person who could inspire kids. Like a kind tutor.

"I may leave. Thank you."
She left gently closing the door behind him. Jason thought of Benet. The little boy was so much out of his sight these days. Maybe after this scientist scenario he could resume their training.
