Prologue

Sakura's POV

"Yo Sakura-chan" said naruto who was walking beside me.

I greeted back "Did you prepare for the practical quiz?"

"What?!? There is a quiz today?!?!?"

Oops.

"I'm going to copy from your sheet Sakura-chann" He started walking infront of me, facing me

"Okay" I slightly nodded as we were walking to the lockers. We usually came to school together. Naruto and I are best friends since we were kids. Even though I was annoying, he gladly accepted my friendship. And now, we are grown up high schoolers. Time flies.

"I don't know what I'd do without you" he said as we came out of the lab.

I should be the one saying that.

It was biology for me whereas for naruto it was economics. We separated our ways and quickly went to our classes. I got into the class and sat next to Ino and Hinata.

"I wonder what Orochimaru-Sensei has for us today" I heard ino say. Well last time he brought a snake to class to do the intersection.
Orochimaru-Sensei quickly entered the class and started with the lecture. Creepy.

He talked about the central dogma and transcription. I scribbled some notes on my book and looked out of the window. There was a black haired tall guy. Familiar. I couldn't see his face. I wonder if it's a new student. He was talking to the counsellor on the field. Field?

"Sakura pay attention" orochimaru-sensei said

"Sorry Sensei" I looked down at my notepad slightly tilting my head to look at the field but no one was there. Where did he go?

"So-" Ring Ring

With that the bell rang and he dismissed the class.

I need to work hard.

I slowly put a step outside the classroom and went to the locker. It was English so me and Naruto had a class together. I wanted to join up with him as I swayed to his locker.

"Lee" I said as I saw him come in front of my face

"Hello Sakura-chan. I bought you this" He handed me over a huge chocolate. Sweet. "You didn't have to-" I said but he cut me off "Please accept it!" He said and I held it. He liked me. Everyone knows that. He confessed to me in 7th grade when he came to my rescue from a big ball during a rugby match. Well, he almost covered me and got hurt in the process. Since then I have always talked to him nicely although I was rude to him in the past.

"Ah- lee I want a break from school" said Choji who was munching a snack bar? Yeah totally.

"Hey Sakura" He said as he noticed me.

"Hi choji" I waved at him.

"I gotta get going for my other class bye!" I said making my way out of the two boys.

"There you are" someone familiar said from my back and put a hand over my shoulder.

"Temari" I smiled.

"Let's go its English." I nodded and we walked together. It was weird I usually walked with Naruto but he wasn't there near his locker too.

As I entered the class I spotted two familiar blondes, Ino and Naruto. My favourites. I ran upto them and sat in the middle.

"Hey guysss" I smiled at them and sat in between them.

"Yo Sakura-chan"

"Hey forehead"

I glanced at Ino, uhuh scratch that I glared at her.

"So guess what?" Ino asked.

"What?" We both asked in unison

"I am having a party at my house next week!!" She Mini shouted and I gave out a mini scream.

I wanted a break from school stuff and finally some good thing was going to happen.

"Okay guys listen" naruto tried to speak in between our own fantasies. "There is a new student and I guess it's.... Sasuke."

My pen fell from the grip of my fingers. I couldn't get words out of my mouth. I was speechless and so was Ino. Naruto can't be kidding, it can't be joke because it's not funny.

"You are kidding right?" Ino asked not daring to hear a Yes.

He looked down at his desk trying to hold up his patience.

"Naruto say something!" Ino was now panicking and I was trying to control my emotions. Sasuke has left the school in 8th grade without telling us. And we were his best friends we were always together. Even though he told me I was annoying and stuff I never stopped caring for him. I was always with him no matter what and then he leaves suddenly and comes back in grade 12. I don't know what he's thinking now.

We had been friends, pretty good and close friends especially me, naruto and Sasuke. We were so close that we even had sleepovers at each other's house. Ino came up later, she liked Sasuke, like me since kindergarten but she got over him, unlike me. I still thought of him.

Where have you been Sasuke? All this time.

Kakashi sensei like always entered the class late but today it was delay by only 5 minutes. A part of me wanted Sasuke to come to this class but a part of me didn't want see him. You could say I was angry but at the same time I was worried.

"So today we will start with the new chapter, 'Journey to the Centre Of the Earth' turn your pa-" before he could finish someone opened the door and our sights drifted towards the intruder.

"S-Sasuke?" I managed to utter something but I could see naruto, clearly. He was so messed up he had no clue what he should do, his mouth gaping and eyes shocked. My eyesight shifted back to door. It was Sasuke. He had grown taller and hotter than before but soon I noticed some other students walk up to the door.

"Sasuke?" Kakashi-Sensei asked with his eyes wide.

I heard murmurs around the classroom.

A lot of them.
