"You shouldn't be here. What about results? You might get detention. And what about studies? You might-" she continued but I didn't listen instead I stuffed her mouth with a large sandwich.
"You're hungry that you're speaking shit" I said.
"Nuh- youmh zaazgayyyh" she muttered with the sandwich.
"Ugh. You're so annoying" I fell with a thud on the bed next to her.
Our eyes met but she continued eating. She didn't have anything since yesterday.
She looked pale.
"You arl clazy" She said.
"Pfft You are the one to talk" I offered her a smirk and looked at the ceiling.
"You should grow up Sakura. You're just so careless" I said as I brushed my hair with my fingers.
"You are there to take care of me right?" She asked after swallowing her food.
I looked at her, hardly any hope left in those mild painful green orbs.
"I'm there. Forever." I whispered "I promise"
She came closer and put her hand around my waist. I gladly returned it back and held her tight.
"Thank you" she whispered as her face was buried into my chest.
We stayed in that position for a while until I noticed that she fast asleep in my arms.
Old habit? Definitely.
I got a blanket on her sufficient to cover her and went down to prepare her some food.
I reached the kitchen to find a note.
••
••Third Persons POV
Sasuke read the note stuck to the fridge
Sorry Sakura, we had an urgent meeting in Maldives. We will be back next week. Till then, take care.
~Mom
A frown appeared on his face as he re read the message.
Her parents left her often? The thought kept surging through his head. But he was no different.
He silently sighed and re stuck the note. She wouldn't like it if he read it.
He looked for tomatoes as he was only good at making them.
He prepared it pretty quick and started to dress out the table.
Soon enough Sakura came down the stairs, wobbly at her steps.
"Sasuke?" She asked as she yawned "you're still here"
"Yeah." He nodded and set the food on the table.
The corner of her lips quivered upwards as she came closer to the set table.
"Wow" she gasped.
"Tomato soup, tomatoes with chicken, fries with tomato sauce and finally tomato salad." He introduced his dishes.
"Thank you Sasuke" she smiled "that's real nice of you"
How did she manage to let out a smile after a night spent of crying?
He pulled out a chair for her and she accepted.
"Your love for tomatoes never lessens" she spoke as she filled her plate with food.
"It won't." He smirked "I could've made something else but I ain't good at anything else" His fingers circling on his chin.
She chuckled a little. The bags under her eyes were visible to him as he closely watched her face.
