Chapter 3: So We're Pals Now?

Adam: So her name's Jaiden?
James: Yeah.
Adam: And she also lives in Arizona?
James: Yeah.
James: Wait how do you not know this? She has more subs than you-
Adam: Whoa whoa whoa. Let's not throw sub counts into the mix here.
James: Sorry. But it's true.
Adam: Well she's all you've been able to talk about today so I've gotta know all about your future wife.
James: Shut up. We just met in person yesterday.
Adam: Hehe. Well I'll have to meet your future wife soon-
James: ADAM I SWEAR
Adam: Okay okay.
James: Thank you.
*beep beep beep*
Adam: Ahh. I've gotta go. You've heard of TimTom right?
James: Yeah the guy with like three videos and already half a million subs.
Adam: Yeah.
James: So what about him?
Adam: He asked me to read some lines for him.
James: But doesn't he live in Idaho?
Adam: Yeah but I don't have all of my recording stuff over here. Use your head James.
James: Good point.
Adam: Yeah the guy's really desperate for exposure.
James: Then why'd you agree to read the lines?
Adam: Because weren't we all just like him at one point when we were starting out, James?
James: Good point.
Adam: Well I've gotta go. I'll see you later James.
James: See ya.

(James' POV)
Well I guess I'll just work.
*sets up workspace*
Hmm. I wonder what Jaiden's doing. No. Focus on working, James.

I almost lost a $1000 scholarship because of plagiari- because of plagiari-bleh.
Why can't I record today?
I almost lost a $2000 dol- wait no, it's $1000.
Ugh.
I need to take my mind off of Jaiden.
I guess the best way to take your mind off of Jaiden is to SKYPE JAIDEN.

(Jaiden's POV)
Okay just a few more frames.....and then the intro will be done. Ugh why is it so hard to work today? I still miss James. Why do I miss him so much when we literally just met in person yesterday. I act like I've known him for years. Dang. Was that special spark I felt a crush? Eh. Even if it was, it's probably just in the heat of the moment. It'll probably go away. I just need to take my mind off of James. James is excluded from my memory. Who's James. WHO IS JAMES?? HAHA. Okay I think I'm going a little crazy. Okay not thinking about James anymore. Go! I wonder what he's up to. No, stop thinking about him! Bleh.
*slams head on tablet*
Wait. I'm getting a Skype call.
GASPPP
James!

Jaiden: Hello?
James: Hey Jaiden!
Jaiden: Hey.
James: Something wrong?
Jaiden: Oh no I just wasn't expecting you to call.
James: Oh sorry is it a bad time?
Jaiden: Nah, it's fine.
James: You sure?
Jaiden: Yep.
James: Okay
Jaiden: So how's it going?
James: Good. I've been having trouble working lately so I just called.
Jaiden: Whoa same.
James: Really?
Jaiden: Yeah. This never happens.
James: Yeah.
Jaiden: ...........Wanna binge watch some Gordon Ramsay with me?
James: Only Gordon Ramsay?
Jaiden: I'll make popcorn
James: Sure!
Jaiden: Noice.
James: I'll be over in like half an hour?
Jaiden: Sounds good to me!
James: Alright I'm gonna go get ready. I'll see you in a little bit.
Jaiden: Alright bye James!

(James' POV)
Wow. Jaiden freakin Animations invited me to her house two days in a row. Welp, I better get ready. I took a shower and put on my favorite t-shirt from goodwill and some casual jeans. Alright, I think I'm ready to go. I got in my car and texted Jaiden.

James: On mah way.
Jaiden: Noice. Gordon Ramsay isn't gonna watch himself.

Dang it Jaiden why do you have to be so cute all the time? Shut up, James. Focus on driving.
Oh I'm here. I went up to the door and rang the doorbell.

The doorbell rang. James was here. I ran as fast as I could so James wouldn't have to hear Ari's screaming too much.

Jaiden: Hey James!
James: Hey Jaiden!
Jaiden: Come on in!
James: How kind of you madame!
Jaiden: Nerd.
James: Gasp. How rude.
Jaiden: No yeah you're definitely a nerd.
James: Pfft. Whatever. I just came for the popcorn.
Jaiden: I figured.
Jaiden: Can we get to Gordon Ramsay now?
James: Sure.
*they watch about 6 hours worth of Gordon Ramsay*

Jaiden & James: HAHAHA

Everything was funny to them after staring at a screen for 6 hours going through three bowls of popcorn.

(James' POV)
Oh dang it. It's getting late again just like last time. And now I'm having even more of a fun time. Watching 6 hours worth of Gordon Ramsay is a lot more fun when you're watching it with Jaiden. (aww the perfect mix of cute and cringe)

James: Hey Jaiden I hate to ruin the fun but I think I better head home before it gets even later.
Jaiden: Darn. I guess. Right before season 5 of kitchen nightmares ended.
James: I know. But we'll have to finish it soon okay?
Jaiden: Deal.

Now I really want to tell him how I've been feeling lately. But is it too soon?
Jaiden: James wait.
James: Yeah?
Jaiden: I'll walk you out.

I just couldn't do it.

James: O-okay. Is that all you wanted to say?
Jaiden: Yep.
James: Okay.
(They're outside now so imagine a dramatic scene like from a movie with crickets chirping and everything)
Jaiden: Thanks for coming James. I had fun. It really helped me take my mind off of not being able to work.
James: Of course. I had fun too. We'll have to do it again soon.
Jaiden: Well the last time you said that, you came over the next day.
James: Okay then we'll REALLY have to do it again soon.
They bursted out in laughter.
James: Alright bye Jaiden!
Jaiden: Bye James!

(James' POV)
I had two consecutive nights where I had so much fun with Jaiden. Why do I still feel sad? Because I know she'll never feel the way I feel about her. Even with that after tonight, I felt like we got really close. If we can't be more than friends one day, I know we can at least still be best pals.

Heyy people! I got another chapter out. And it's actually on time! Go me! I feel like this is my longest and best chapter at the moment. But yeah I don't have much to say for this "end card" I guess you could call it. But anyways I've noticed that people actually like read the story. One person even favorited it. So even though it's a small number to most of you, I still appreciate it. So thanks for reading my dumb fanfic. Anyways thanks for reading and maybe I'll post a chapter if I get bored sometime before Wednesday. Hey this is me after I initially published this but did you guys see that Tim shaved his head? He did it after a livestream for Save the children because someone donated $1000 and he shaved his head for it? Anyways I thought it was funny. But he did it for a good cause so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
