Still Friends? (Jaiden x James)

Chapter 7: This Isn't You

(James' POV)
I was at the YouTube creator party and I was just kind of being anti-social. I didn't know too many people there. There were a lot of drunk YouTubers there (some underage). But it didn't really matter because they're YouTubers? I guess. I was kind of done putting up with all the drunk YouTubers so I was just gonna go back to my hotel room. But I ran into Rebecca and we started to chat. After a while James got a call from Jaiden. He looked over and saw Jaiden. He answered.

Jaiden: H-hey J-James. Y-you want to hang out? We're at the same p-party.

James: Jaiden are you okay? You sound drunk.

*James thinking*
Well she's 21 but it's not like her to drink. She wouldn't would she?

Jaiden: S-Shut up. I think think you're drunk.

James: Jaiden. Stop. You're drunk. I didn't even know you drink. I don't even drink!

Jaiden: S-Shut up.

James: Jaiden. You need to get to your hotel. I'll call you an Uber.

Jaiden: You better not! I'm having a fun time d-don't ruin it.

*hangs up*

James: Jaiden!

Rebecca: What was that all about?

James: Jaiden's drunk.

Rebecca: What? Since when does Jaiden drink?

James: That's what I was saying.

They both looked over to see a few vlogger dudes way too close to Jaiden. They both new what to do and ran over there.

Rebecca: Hey buddy back off.

Vlogger Dude: What'd you say to me?

James: She said back off.

Vlogger Dude: Well if it isn't the man himself. Here to save your little girlfriend?

He got even closer to Jaiden.

Jaiden: Don't touch me!

James: Stop it!

He charged towards the Vlogger dude to get him off Jaiden. Rebecca held him back and the Vlogger dude's friends did the same.

James: Don't you ever touch her again.

With his friends holding him back, he still tried to charge. But he was unsuccessful thankfully.
Jaiden ran away with tears filling her eyes.

Rebecca and James: Jaiden!

They both ran outside to find Jaiden sitting on the curb outside the building.

James and Rebecca: What happened?

She didn't answer at first. But then she wiped the tears out of her eyes and said:

Jaiden: I was originally just hanging out with Tim and Jordan but then they had to go. Then the vlogger dudes came up to me and offered me a drink which I stupidly accepted. They kept offering more and more. They got me drunk.....because they thought they'd be able to touch me if I was drunk enough.

Rebecca: Jaiden. I'm so sorry.

James: We should've been with you the entire time.

Jaiden: No. It's my fault.

James and Rebecca: No, it's not.

Jaiden started sobbing.

They both just hugged her tight. After a while, James called Jaiden an Uber. It soon arrived.

Rebecca: You got this from here?

James: Yeah

Rebecca: Get her to her room safely.

James: Of course.

Rebecca: Bye James.

James: Bye Becky.

Jaiden had fallen asleep on James' shoulder. Needless to say he didn't mind at all. They got back to Jaiden's hotel room. James had carried her all the way up. He laid her down on the bed and under the covers. He didn't want to leave her but Jaiden's room only had one bed. James thought about it some more. He gave her a small kiss on the cheek which was a bold move on his part. He turned off the light and left the room.

The Next Morning
James woke up the next morning for the last day of VidCon. He packed his things and went downstairs in the lobby to get some free breakfast. He saw Jaiden from a short distance. She came over to his table and said

Jaiden: What happened last night? Everything was a blur after those creepy vlogger dudes left.

James: After that, I called an Uber for you and took you back to your room.

Jaiden: How?

James: I carried you.

Jaiden's cheeks turned red.

Jaiden: Oh my gosh I'm so sorry.

James: It was no problem. You're really light.

They had a good laugh.

Jaiden: So how have you been? We haven't had a chance to just catch up.

James: I've been good. How about you?

Jaiden: Good until last night.

James: Yeah, I know.

They talked for another 2 hours until the breakfast closed.

James: So you wanna go do something? I know most of the gang has left.

Jaiden: Sure!

James:...........Disney land?

Jaiden: Yes!
