Chapter 14: The Shippers Weren't Wrong

James:.............

Jaiden:..............

James: Do you think we should tell our fans about.......well...us?

Jaiden: I was thinking about that too. Let's give it some time first. I'm still processing it.

James chuckled.

James: Yeah good idea.

James: Who knew?

Jaiden: What do you mean?

James: I mean.......THIS. It's actually happening. All of those years of ship comments. We'd never hear the end of it. And here we are. Dating.

Jaiden: To be honest, when we first met, I thought you were a huge nerd.

James: Hey!

Jaiden smiled.

Jaiden: You remember that one speed drawing video you made a long time ago?

James: Which one?

Jaiden: The one where you said you loved me.

James: Oh yeah.

Jaiden: That's where I first started getting a crush on you.

James' face turned red.

James: Aww.

Jaiden: Why do you think I commented on it with those hearts?

James: Uh. A friendly heart.

Jaiden: Yeah. That's not fooling me.

James laughed.

Jaiden: Now can we get something to eAT?

They had a good laugh and went out to eat.

Almost one year later

                              James' POV
Now I could lie to you and say that our relationship started having problems and we broke up or that I ended up in a terrible car accident because that's how fanfic goes- (WAIT THAT'S NOT IN THE SCRIPT)
But none of that happened. Everything went smooth. At the time of telling you this, Jaiden and I are in a loving relationship. I'm even planning some big things for the future. Hopefully, most importantly a proposal. I don't know how I should do it because I want to do something special for Jaiden. So I contacted my animators and colorists: Rushlight Invader, Pantless Pajamas, Anti-Dark Heart, and ToonCee. We all agreed to work on a proposal animation to show to Jaiden and then show the fans afterwards. So we got to work. I have to admit that Jaiden got a little irritated that I was working and not focusing on her more but, it would be worth it in the end.

Jaiden: Whatcha workin on?

James: *fumbles pen* NOTHING

Jaiden: Wellll okay then. Do you wanna get something to eat then?

James: *breathing heavily* sure.

Jaiden: You feeling okay, James?

James: Yeah! Just fine!

Jaiden: Well okay.

James: I'm sorry Jaiden. I promise this video is special. I promise.

Jaiden looked very confused and just kind of said okay.

They got some food and James went right back to working afterwards.

Jaiden: Okay James why is this videos so important to you? You've never worked on something like this before.

James: Jaiden, My love. I can't say right now. Please, just trust me.

Jaiden sighed.

Jaiden: Fine.

She walked away.

James slammed his head on his tablet.

James: Why? I'm about to ruin this.

1 week later
James: WE'RE DONNEEEE (he screamed)

Jaiden ran into the room.

Jaiden: What?

James: Okay! Hang on just oneee sec.

James played the video.

Jaiden: James. Is this-

The video played. By the end of it, Jaiden was in tears.

Jaiden: James!

James: Yeah??

Jaiden: Yes! I'll marry you!

They hugged each other tight, both in tears.

James put out a video later that day called, "We Got Engaged"

The two young love birds were as happy as they'd ever been.

James' POV
From all of the decisions I've ever made, asking Jaiden to marry me was the best one. It seemed to go by by the blink of an eye and it seemed like just yesterday we met up in person for our first collab. I don't know what the future will bring us, but I feel like the future's bright.
