Still Friends? (Jaiden x James)

Chapter 10: Conflict

James woke up in a cold sweat to see Jaiden in her bed already awake and on her phone.

Jaiden: Morning.

James: Morning.

Jaiden: Bad dream?

James: Yeah.

Jaiden: What was it about?

James: I don't......remember.

Jaiden gave him a weird look and then just laughed. He did the same.

Jaiden: So what do you want for breakfast?

James: Oh um I don't know.

Jaiden: What about we go out? To IHOB?

a/n: I know it was just a publicity stunt to promote their burgers but whatever okay.

James: Uh it's IHOP, Jaiden.

Jaiden: IHOB

James: IHOP

Jaiden: dO yOu WaNnA eAt ThErE oR nOt?

James: Okay, okay. Let's go get IHOP.

Jaiden: *breaths in slowly* IT'S  IHOB

James: Sigh. Fine.

Jaiden: Yes!

James: Let's just go get ready.

Jaiden: Good idea nerd.

James: *breathes in slower* AHHHHHHHHHHH

Jaiden started rolling on the floor because of James' surprisingly high pitched scream.

James looking red said:

James: I'm gonna go get ready now.

Jaiden just laughed and got ready.

After a while, they were both ready and they hopped in James' car and went to IHOP.

They had a great time at IHOP but on the way back, James had said something that upset Jaiden a little bit.

They were talking about TimTom and James said:

"We started out good but then he started to get big and let the numbers get to his head.

Jaiden: How?

James: You wouldn't know. But during that period of time Maaz was in a discord call with Tim, Illy and a few others. He sent me a clip of the call.

*he plays it on his phone*

Tim: "I saw James' style and I was like, I could do that but better."

The others in the call started laughing.

Tim: "I just needed a collab to get some traction so I pretended to be his friend. Once that happened it was all I needed. Next thing you know I'm at 1 million subscribers."

Jaiden: That's not him. Tim's not that type of guy.

James: Yeah he is Jaiden. He acts like he's all innocent and then pulls this. In his video he makes false accusations and plays the victim. If I could go back in time, I would undo ever agreeing to do a collab.

Jaiden: I can't believe you're saying this about our friend.

James: Your friend.

Jaiden threw her arms up in frustration.

Jaiden: He wouldn't do that.

James: Deny it all you want. He said everything in that video.

Jaiden: Wow. You know- just drop me off at my house.

James: You're gonna get upset at something that's true? I can't believe you're siding with Tim even after showing you the evidence.

Jaiden: This isn't some game James. It's conflict. You need to take it seriously-

James: I NEED TO TAKE IT SERIOUSLY? I showed you the proof and you're treating me as if I'm the bad guy.

Jaiden: DROP ME OFF JAMES

there was silence for a few seconds.

James took a deep breath

James: Okay.

No one said anything the entire time. When they got to Jaiden's house she got out and slammed the door without saying a word.

James' POV
I didn't mean for the small remark to get anywhere other than it needed to be. I didn't mean for it to get so out of hand. I may have just lost one of the greatest friends in my life. And it's all my fault.

Hey people! I know it's hard to sound happy after that chapter but trust me. I'm having a blast writing. I know it wasn't the longest but I like it. It was short but........well not sweet.
