We were so close. So close. We were finally there. The garden wall.
All there was left to do was climb over it.
My little Step brother, Greg was the was first, to try to climb.
But as soon as he touched the wall, he collapsed on the ground.
"Greg? Greg!" I ran over to him. "Are you play Greg?" Immediately after the Edlewood started to encompass him in a cocoon, I knew who it was.
"BEAST!!! Where are you, show yourself!!!"
Faster than I could blink, his dark twisted figure came into my view, he was about 20 feet away.
I mustered up all of my courage and yelled,"LET HIM GO YOU-" He closed the distance in the blink of an eye.
"You what? BEAST? I hate that dastardly name. I was once human too. I too once had family."
What? I thought.
" What I tell you is the truth. The Beast isn't an everlasting being, the title of Beast exactly every 100 years, and I have chosen you as my succesor." (A:N: I know half of you were thinking of My hero academia)" BUT, you can always leave this place. You can leave right now. Without your precious Brother. If you stay he will live on in the lamp, if you leave, he will die on the spot."
What? No! This can't be happening...
But, Greg...
My mind was spinning.
I mean, being hunted by the Beast may be bad, but actually being the beast might be wonderful.
No one bothering you, and on the upside it'll just be me and Greg.
When you think about it, it sounded ingenious.
I don't know why, but I felt strangely calm. I made my desicion.
"I'll do it."
