A Malec Love Story❤️

Magnus took hold of Alec's hand gently and descended the stairs with him slowly. As soon as they got to the bottom of the stairs they were nearly knocked over by Iz who had run over to hug them.

"Bro I knew you were gay but I'm so happy that you've finally come out and also oh wow you two are such a cute couple!" she blabbered loudly. Alec and Magnus embraced her warmly and smiled gently at her. Alec could feel a pair of eyes staring at him, he turned to see that those eyes were his fathers and they looked less than pleased. The rest of the evening was full of hugs and congratulations, everyone seemed to have taken the news well. The crowd started to clear and the party was over, the only ones left were Magnus, Alec, Max, Isabelle, Jace, Clary, Robert and Maryse. Robert cleared his throat loudly.

"Alexander your mother and I need to talk to you now, in private." Robert said strictly.

"Ooh he called you Alexander, you must be in trouble!" Max observed.

"Hey Max why don't we give Magnus a tour and leave Alec to talk to mum and dad." Isabelle suggested, Max nodded and the three of them set of on their tour. Robert glared at his son.

"Alexander what is this of you being homosexual and dating a Downworlder?" Robert questioned, he said the words homosexual and Downworlder as if they were vile forbidden words.

"Robert don't be so rude." Maryse chided him quietly. Maryse embraced her eldest child proudly.

"Son I don't care about your sexuality or who you date, all I care about is that your happy with your choices." Maryse told Alec kindly.

"Thanks mum, it means a lot to hear you say that, I thought you'd disown me." Alec admitted.

"Oh Alexander, i would never disown you, your my son and I love you no matter what." She explained to him and then she gave him a light kiss on the forehead. Robert looked disgusted.

"Your no longer a son of mine, I don't want a homosexual son that dallies with downworlders, your a disgrace to the Lightwood name!" Robert snared cruelly before storming out, Maryse chased after him angrily. Alec sunk to the floor and let a tear slowly roll down. There was a sound from the corner of the room, Alec turned to see Jace and Clary.

"I can't believe everyone forgot we were still here!" Jace observed.

"Were you two listening to the conversation?" Alec asked. Jace and Clary nodded.

"I probably won't make a difference but I'm really proud of you for being brave and coming out, also you and Magnus are such a cute couple." Clary told Alec softly. She came over and sat down beside him and wrapped an arm around his shoulder, he took her hand gently.

"Thanks Clary, it means something to hear you say that, if only my dad would be as understanding." Alec sighed.

"No offence but your dad is a bit of an asshole." Clary remarked.

"That he is!" said Jace and Alec at the same time. They all looked at each other and laughed happily. Jace came over to Alec and joined their little hug. The door to the hall opened and in came Magnus and Isabelle who also went and joined the hug. They all eventually fell asleep in their big group hug.
