Back to that good ol 3rd Person POV

Years had gone by, everyone was beginning high school now. Alex managed to learn to control his urges as with Thomas. Alex had become one of the nerds in school but he didn't mind. Some of his closest friends were considered nerds. His little friend circle was John, Herc, Laf, and Aaron. The Schuylers were apart of it too but they were much more popular than Alex and the others.

Alex never thought he'd meet Aaron again but look where they were now. Alex learned to hide his ears and tail at will but something like his eye was something he would have to be careful with. Alex also learned that the Schuylers were, in fact, hybrids. They were cat hybrids to be specific. It was easy for Angelica and Peggy to hide their ears with their hair but for Eliza she was also forced to wear a hat. Good thing Washington had become the principal so he allowed it.

Jefferson on the other hand had become more short tempered and snobby. He was on his own after all. His father never approved of Thomas being a hybrid so one day, his father took his mother and left. Leaving Thomas alone with some of the family funds, yet no family. It hit him hard and James was there to comfort Thomas, even if it meant leaving with a little less blood than usual.

Thomas was truly grateful for James, but now he had to learn to be more independent. Thomas sighed and walked to the forest. And by walk it was really just a fast zoom through the forest. He didn't think it was possible for him to fly, even though it's not really flying is just hovering. He learned how to control his directions and speeds and enjoyed every second of it.

As Thomas passed through the forest, he noticed a small boy standing there and looking around. Immediately, Thomas noticed the grey ears atop the boy's head as their tail swayed calmly behind him. Thomas hovered up on a tree branch to watch.

Alex had gotten caught up with all that nature had to offer in the forest. He had some of his worst and best moments here. He never hid his ears or tail here because it just didn't feel right to him.

He was enjoying watching the little bugs that were crawling by when he heard something. His ear twitched and he looked around, trying to see who was there. He spotted an unfamiliar shape on one of the tree branches and picked up a nearby rock, throwing it at the figure. They didn't react on time and got smacked by a rock to the face. They hissed loudly, which caused Alex to back away.

Thomas rubbed his cheek where he had been hit and jumped down from the tree, catching himself about 3 inches away from the ground. Alex scrambled back even further, realizing who it was. They didn't mean to dislike each other but here they were.

"J-Jefferson" Alex said quietly, his eye illuminating softly under his hair as a small warning.

"Hamilton, I didn't know you were a hybrid" Thomas grinned, unaware of the fact that he was literally floating off the ground, his fangs were showing, and his eyes were naturally glowing in the darkness that surrounded the forest.

"Someone else was going to find eventually, but you're a hybrid as well" Alex pulled out some confidence he had hidden somewhere and watched as Thomas' eyes widened in realization.

"You tell no one about this and I'll stay quiet about you." Alex nodded. "What type of hybrid are you?" Alex then asked, curious.

"Bat hybrid, or better known as a vampire. What about you, even though it looks obvious.

"Wolf hybrid. It's a blessing and a curse at times" Alex sighed and sat down, messing with his tail nervously.

"Thought so, is it true that wolf hybrids can really get blood thirsty?" Thomas sat down next to Alex.

"...yes, and it sucks because it's been happening more often and I don't know what to do. There are times where I get that feeling in the middle of class and I have to endure it or else everyone would find out and then I'd be killed and-" Thomas cut him off.

"You talk way too much. And I'm sure it isn't as bad now compared to when you couldn't control it" Alex looked at Thomas a bit confused but nodded regardless.

"I used to be the same way, if not worse" Thomas sighed and looked at the smaller male, occasionally glancing at his neck from time to time.

The two talked for a while about their inhumane sides, ignoring the feeling in their gut signalling they were starting to crave something. Alex seemed to be the first to fall into the feeling. He held his head and hid his face in his knees, growling quietly at himself.

"Thomas...you have to leave" Alex managed to say. Thomas looked at Alex, first in confusion but that slowly morphed into concern and slight fear. "But what about you? I can't just leave you here!"

Thomas didn't want to admit, but he was surely getting attached to the other, seeing as he was the only other hybrid he could relate to so well.

"Please!" Alex looked up at Thomas, breathing heavily while trying to stay in control for as long as possible. "I don't want to hurt you, so please, go" His eyes were pleading for him to go and reluctantly, Thomas nodded and dashed off towards a different part of the forest. He was gonna get a quick snack to calm down his craving while Alex when off to find something more filling to him.

I'm planning on making a one shots book as a little placeholder for all the stories I want to make into books but don't want to start just yet.
