Oh look? Another dumbass title that explains the chapter holy shit!!

Peggy tried to make best of her situation as she snuggled beside her sister (Angelica) happily.

Angelica grumbled but couldn't bring herself to shove her sibling away when she was seriously hurt.

(Peggy: which is why I chose to lean on her *evil grin*)

"Peggy how did you even break your legs anyways, if they are broken anyways?" Eliza finally asked after the group sat silently waiting for the others to show up.

"Weeeeeeell, after Theo started to fall from the sky, I held onto her and turned so that I would land on my feet. So I, of course did, but in exchange I'm pretty sure I either dislocated or fractured a few bones in each leg," Peggy explained causally.

"Sweet Jesus," a different voice spoke and Alex perked up.

"Aaron?"

A head poked up from above them with a grin. "You know it."

Then, another head poked out and kissed Aaron on the cheek, earning a giggle from Aaron.

"Come on down you two, all we have left is Herc, Laf, and Maria," Alex motioned them down and they hopped out of the tree, sitting with the group.

Alex noticed John keeping his hoodie up and somewhat distancing himself from the group.

Curious, Alex got up and sat next to John. John jumped and fell back in the mud.

"Gee great, thanks Lex," John grumbled sarcastically and Alex grinned.

"No problem Johnny boy," Alex helped his friend up and sat down in front of him.

"Now, what's wrong?"

"Oh, it's just about what happened recently. You know, being conditioned to being one thing then in a matter of months it all changes drastically," John rambled and Alex just smiled, listening through.

"Well hey, at least it's all over now, right? And your officially apart of the pack!" Alex grinned but John didn't smile. In fact, he looked slightly more uncomfortable.

"John?"

"Uhhh, about that," John glanced around before pulling his hoodie down to reveal that the wolf ears that were previously on his head were gone.

"What the fuck?" Alex questioned aloud and pulled John's head down to examine.

"I don't really know what happened, they kinda just disappeared after the whole, healing you thing," John muttered.

"Do you think it has to do with that?" Alex asked quizzically.

"Maybe? I'm not sure. I'm waiting to see Laf and see if he changed too," John pulled his head away and gave Alex a weak smile.

"And if he does, well then hey, he can be apart of your pack. I don't really need to be there, do I?" John questioned with a light hearted smile.

Despite everything being over, John still had lingering feelings for the male in front of him. It lead to some pretty nasty thoughts thanks to internalized homophobia but he learned to live with it.

"Yes you do John. You probably my closest, if not, the closest friend I've ever got. I'd never leave you behind just because I'm different or whatever. I don't know what's going on in your mind to make you think like that but I'm here to assure you that we'll always stick together, no matter what," (I've just gotten a new separate plot to add to my sequel)

John smiled softly and nodded, hugging his friend tightly.

"Thanks Alex, you have no idea how much that means to me," John mumbled. Alex made no hesitation to hug back.

John could've sworn he heard someone hiss but he ignored it and savored the moment for what it was.

If Alex was with Thomas? That was alright with John.

He didn't want to be the reason of a couple breaking up just because of his childish crushes. He was much too insignificant to do that much damage.

As long as he had his closest friendship with his best friend, he would be fine.

Absolutely fine.

Filler chapter but could be important later, can't decide yet. Anywho, I hate the fact that I'm lacking in updates but that's because school has completely fried my brain and not to mention my mind keeps screwing around with me and my ships so I gotta keep that contained while I'm writing. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy!
