New Friendships and New Desires

I feel like I'm gonna have too much fun with this. I'm not sure yet since this is where I write when I'm just starting but anyways

As the school year went along, Alex and Thomas both gained a new friend, John Andre. Andre seemed to know Alex and Thomas really well. They hit it off really well and Andre was slowly climbing his way up to being their best friend, though that wasn't fully possible Alex still had John, Herc, Laf, Aaron and the Schuylers. Thomas still had James. They were practically inseparable and it would be hell trying to split their friendship apart.

Ham POV wow

I was laughing along to Herc's joke, a terrible one at that but it didn't really bother me much. I looked around and spotted Aaron trailing behind so I excused myself and jogged back to him. "Hey Aaron, you doin okay?"

Aaron was about to nod but shook his head no. "I'm feeling like I'm being left out of things. You guys are all so close and I'm just...there"

I frowned and brought him into a hug. He sighed and hugged back. "Don't worry Aaron, everyone is close with each other and will always be there for each other. Including you" I let go and booped his nose. I dragged him to the front of the group and we both joined in the jokes once more.

Everyone went their separate ways as Laf and I went to our parents home. We went inside and I went to my room, about to leave again to go...attend to some things when I heard a tap on the window. I looked to see that it was James (Madison). I knew him, we were relatively close friends even though he preferred to stick around Thomas.

He beckoned me to sit down on the bed and I hesitantly complied.

"What did ya wanna see me for?"

He looked slightly nervous. "I was talking to Thomas a while back about something...interesting. I don't want you to panic or anything but I just wanted to know if...uh..."

He shuffled a bit in his spot, messing with his fingers nervously and unintentionally my ears perked up under the beanie I forgot to take off.

"I wanted to know if you were actually a hybrid..." He mumbled, quiet enough for normal humans not to hear but I'm not normal in the slightest. My eyes widened a bit and I stared at him.

He looked up to see me staring at him and he backed away, obviously scared. I sighed and took off my beanie hesitantly, nodding. "Yes, I am. You can't tell anyone, please!"

He seemed slightly relieved but at the same time, more scared..? I didn't question it but he nodded before reaching up and rubbing my ears. I purred slightly in content and practically melted into the embrace. Pretty much anyone who did that would get the same reaction from me.

I glanced at him and I couldn't tell if he was blushing from embarrassment because of his dark skin but I assumed he was.

(Okay, pet peeve. When people have it that black people can blush intensely? Like no that's not how it works. Their skin is way too dark to actually visibly blush because pink/red is a way lighter hue than most brown. This doesn't mean that tan/people on the lighter scale can't visibly blush because their skin might be light enough to show the blush. But when people have it that black people are "bLuShiNg inTenSelY aNd tHeIr fAcE wAs rEd" I just have to force myself to not screech in the comments about it. Make sure to pay attention to skin tones to see if their skin is actually capable of showing blush. The only thing I will say is "acceptable" to me personally is if there is like a tiny but somewhat noticeable hue of like wine red in the cheeks that can easily blend into the skin. Don't be offended or anything if you do this, it's just my opinion pls. Rant over djfktj)
