A/N: Double update since that chapter is relatively short.
I left Loki in the dining room and started for my room. I heard footsteps and my name being called out. “Alia!” I finally stopped. “Care to explain why you left me?” Loki asked. “You can walk by yourself. Or perhaps you can walk with Sif.” I was trying to keep my obvious jealousy down but it was impossible. Loki scoffed. I contined to walk but Loki stayed on my heels. “You really don’t know what you’re saying. And if we’re trading blows- I’m surprised you didn’t follow Fandral out.” I stopped walking again and turned to glare at him. “Fuck you.” I spat. I whipped back around, my hair hitting Loki’s face, and started for my room. “Suggestive!” I heard Loki call. I bit back a laugh. “I hate you!”
“You really don’t, you know?”
“Why don’t you go fuck Sif?!”
“Why don’t you go fuck Fandral?!”
“Because I don't want him! I want you!”
Loki’s jaw dropped. “Now you are being suggestive!” I rolled my eyes and threw up my middle finger. “How classy of you Alia!”
“What is going on?!” Thor’s voice was louder than mine and Loki’s combined. I'm pretty sure Thor was louder than anyone though. Loki and I both stood still. “Your fighting isn’t quiet to us, you know?” Thor asked with an obvious amusement. Still, I suddenly felt terrible. I can’t believe what I had said. I stormed to my room and slammed the door. I jumped and landed on my bed face-first. After a few moments, I heard the door open. Loki’s footsteps got closer. “Alia?” he asked. “I’m so sorry” I mumbled. Loki laughed. “I don’t care that they heard that. I only care that you were upset.” I decided to just face it. “Are you in love with Sif?” I asked.
Loki sighed. “We were raised together and I always had a fondness for her. But like everyone else, she preferred Thor.” I stayed quiet. “Turn over Alia.” His hand was on my back and lightly pushing me. I flipped over and he leaned back on his elbow. “Do you like Fandral?” I shook my head. “Nor do I like Thor. Not like that.” Loki made a face. “I didn’t ask that.” I looked up at him. “I know.” Loki smiled and stroked my hair. “Are you angry with me?” he asked. I shook my head again. He leaned down and kissed me softly. I pulled back and groaned. “I have to go apologize.” Loki groaned as well. He helped me off the bed and we went to find Thor and The Warriors.
They were all staring at us. “So you two are….?” Fandral asked. We had apologized for our very public display of anger and admission of feelings. I didn’t know what to say so I just looked at Loki. We both shrugged. Thor burst into a booming laughter. “Well this is most certainly unaccepted!” he screamed. I laughed and rubbed my arms awkwardly. The Warriors all seemed to be speechless. “So yeah… just wanted to apologize. We don’t know what we are. He makes me mad.”
“She infuriates me.”
“His hair is too long.”
“She doesn’t stop whining.”
Now I was offended. I stared at him with my bottom lip justting out and my eyes in slits. Loki looked at me apologetically. The Warriors laughed. “Well, just figure it out. And whatever you are, I hope you tell Odin.” Fandral said. He looked slightly hurt and I just wanted to hug him. Sif looked at me and I nodded at her. “Just be careful” she said quietly. Loki and I left the training room where we had found them and sighed in unison. “Loki!” a high-pitched female voice squeaked. “I heard you were free. How are you darling?” Loki look horrified. “Hello Sigyn. Long time, no see.” Sigyn. Why did that sound familiar to me? I had heard her mentioned at dinner once and it had made him awkward.
“Loki, who's that?” I whispered. “My ex-wife.” I had to double take but now my eyes were popping out of my head. “Hello, I am Sigyn.” She said extending her hand out to me. She wore green and gold. Of course. I shook her hand against my better judgement. “I’m Alia.” Sigyn looked at Loki playfully. “Have you missed me?” she asked. “No.” I chuckled. She shot me a look. “What are you doing here?” he asked. “Oh, Odin told me I could stay here. He always was fond of me you know.” I thought I might throw up. I was pretty sure I was going to. “He told me about your unique condition” she said looking at me. “Did he?” I hated Odin even more now. This was when I needed Frigga to appear. She nodded and her eyes moved back to Loki. “I hope to see you soon” she purred. I was mortified. She trotted away and I looked at Loki.
“You’re kidding right?” I asked. “Alia, do I need to remind you I can live for centuries? As can you. I was married to her once. I am not now. She is nothing to me.”
“Mhm.”
Loki grabbed my hand and pulled me close to him. “I promise.”
“Oh yay, a promise from the God of Lies.”
Loki growled. “Alia, come on.” I laughed and playfully pushed him away. He pulled me closer again. His lips touched my neck and I couldn't help but melt. “Come on. It’s been an eventful day.”
I was back in my room once again and slipping out of my dress. Loki had his back away from me and I got under my covers. “It’s safe.” I told Loki. He curled up in his chair and my stomach tugged. “Loki… come here. And don’t say suggestive.” Loki snickered and I felt his weight on the bed. “Stay above the covers. I am still half-naked.” Loki made another blanket appear for himself and lay back. I couldn’t resist but to put my head on his shoulder. He laid his head against mine. “Goodnight Loki.” “Goodnight Alia.”
