Chapter Twelve
Phoebe was absolutely terrified. She had decided that, a very long time ago. Phoebe just knew she would never be the same.
Her parents had hope that Phoebe could get through this. After all, she was only six. Chances are, she wouldn't remember this over the next few years. People don't remember much from their younger years.
Phoebe had gotten a very bad feeling about her Clawdeen doll. She didn't know what to do with it, so she took Clawdeen up to the attic and stuffed her in an old box.
She thought that would be the end of Clawdeen.
One Tuesday morning, Phoebe got to kindergarten and Phillip wasn't there. She looked for him everywhere, even in the toilet, and he was nowhere to be found. Ms.P, Phoebe's teacher, told Phoebe that Phillip had moved to New Hampshire.
It was then that Phoebe began to cry. Phillip hadn't even told her he was leaving. Phoebe had lost her friends. Phoebe was alone.
