Brother/Sister Moment

Paige's P.O.V

As soon as Luke finishes packing we put on our shoes and leave. We walk for 5 minutes until we get to the green. As soon as we sit down I start to cry. I couldn't help it.

"What's wrong Pay?" Luke asks me. His voice filled with concern. "Ben and Jack are gone and now Dad and Mum. Mum won't last too long I know it." I cry. He hugs me to his chest. "Moms a fighter Paige, She won't give up and neither can we." Luke has always been the strong one. Our brothers Jack and Ben died in a plane crash landing. Luke cried but kept me going. I was 10 and he was 15.

I lay down on the grass and looked up at the clouds. Tears still in my eyes. Luke lays down beside me.

"Do you know what the phrase: 'If life gives you lemons make orange juice and leave the world wondering how you did it' means?

I shook my head.

"It means when life throws obsticales in your path, try your best to overcome them, you eventually will and it will leave everybody speechless. Do you get me?" I thought about it then nodded. "Yeah."

There was a moment of silence but it wasn't awkward it was peaceful.

"Paige I have to tell you something." I look up at Luke. "Yeah?" "I love you." I laugh. "I love you too." I kiss his cheek. "We better get back. It's past midnight." I checked my watch 12:57 am. I yawned. "Yeah I'm tired." We walk home.

Luke's P.O.V

I tuck Paige into bed. She may be 16 but she still likes it. "night night Babygirl I love you" I whisper as she falls asleep. How did I get so lucky?

I walk gently down the stairs. "You okay mate?" Michael asks. "yeah I'm heading to bed g'night lads." I reply. I guess they didn't buy it cause as soon as I'm about to get into bed I hear a knock on the door.

Abby. "Can I come in babe?" "Sure" she walks over to me. "Are you okay Luke?" She asks. "Yeah I'm just tired" she looks like she doesn't believe me but smiles. "Okay night babe" "G'night"
