"Is this nice and cozy enough for you princess?"
"More than I could wish for" I can't help but giggle when he called my "princess"
He gently places a kiss on the side of my head, his arms wrap around my waist from behind.
"I could lay here with you like this all night" He whispers softly, his breath hitting the crook of my neck.
I pause for a moment to process what he just said. I turn my head and then my whole body shifts, our faces are an inch apart.
"You know that's not happening tonight right?" I speak in disappointment, my finger traces down his broad and bare shoulder
My eyes drag back to his as he nods his head.
It's so crazy how love can make you so reckless. It can make a boy climb out of his bedroom's window at night to climb into his girlfriend's room, whose house happens to be next to his. It can make a girl brush off her strict parents and do anything to lay with him at night. Even just in a small amount of time, getting to be there with him means the world to her.
This is one of those many nights. My parents are at an event party tonight so we're not missing any chance. David has been here since 8 o' clock. We ordered some pizza and binge watched some netflix series together. Our 'date' was simple just like that.
"So... when are you telling your parents... about us?" He trails off
I haven't told my parents anything about David. All they know is he's been our neighbor for almost 2 years. They have no idea we've been dating and he's been climbing into my bedroom for 8 months. Sooner or later, they will find out cause I'm telling them. I can't keep this forever.
"We will, this winter ball"
"Are we gonna say we've been dating for 8 months or..."
"Yah just tell them the truth. I don't think that's big of a deal"
He nods in agreement.
"Are you nervous about that?" He asks as a small grin appears on his face
"Not gonna lie, a little bit"
"Don't worry cause I will be right by your side" He gently rubs my shoulder
My heart flutters as I hear those words from him. We lock eyes once again.
"I love you" I say despite knowing how cheesy it may sound.
"I love you more" He cups my cheek and pull me in for a kiss. I'm head over heels for this boy. We deepen the kiss. Everything is perfect until...
"Liza... you still up? We're home" A voice echoes from all the way downstairs
We both pull away as our eyes widen.
"Crap! I thought your parents are not coming home until 11"
"Well who knew? They told me that"
We pause for a sec and the footsteps just becomes clearer and clearer.
"I don't think this should be the first impression of you with my mom" I say under my breath
"Yeah you're right" He says as he jumps out of bed shirtless.
"Liza?!" My mom calls me once again
I throw David his shirt and he puts it on
"Yah mom?! Hurry"
He nods and kisses me on the forehead. Then he climbs out of the window, the usual exit.
"Goodnight princess"
I giggle and blow him a kiss
"Liza?" The door opens
"Who are you talking to?"
"No-one" I lie
"That's weird cause I hea..."
"Oh I was on the phone, with Gabbie"
She kinda looks around as she's still at the door.
"Elizabeth!" She scared the crap out of me as if she knew what was going on
"Plz for the millionth time, throw the pizza box away before getting in bed"
"Okayy" I roll my eyes.
OMG I think my heart just dropped. Is she leaving now cause I can't handle this anymore
"Ok good night mom" I say with a bit frustration in my voice.
"Goodnight sweetiee" She closes the door just when a notication from my phone goes off.
David: Home;)
Liza: Well my mom scared the crap out of me. It was close
David: ...sorry
Liza: No it's not your fault.
David: It's good to know that. I really enjoyed tonight
Liza: Yeah me too. Gotta sleep now
David: ok goodnight Pookie
Again, this boy never fails to give me the butterfly feeling in my stomach.
I smile as I text him back
Liza: Goodnight Bub. I love you
