Her reflection appears through a looking glass. Thoughts race through her mind.

Tears streaming down her face like it's pouring rain outside.

"Do it for me, if you love me" His voice echoes, hitting every corner of her brain.

Hand holding the sharp, shiny object "You will feel less pain"

It sparkles as it hits the light, calling out her name.

David's POV

It's a rainy day and I'm about to get home when I receive a notification from my phone. I sigh as I look at it. I forget to turn the app off so I guess I will make the last deliver of the day. I can't turn it down since it can definitely affect my rating so Oh well!
I put on my black raincoat, get on my bike and set off from the restaurant. The rain is getting heavier and my house is on the other side of the town from the destination. I arrive in no time, my shoes are wet, hopefully the pizzas are not, but I think they're cold by now.
"Delivery" I say loudly as I ring the door bell.
No-one replies, but I start to hear footsteps towards the door. By the way this is a huge villa!
A petite girl opens the door. She's wearing a black hoodie with a pair of black leggings.
"Are you..." I take a look at the receipt
"... Elizabe.... wait... Liza?"
I stutter as she looks up and I can now see her face clearly. Her eyes are swollen and her nose is red. Her cheeks are blushed. Her eyes widen when they meet mine. Has she been crying?
"Dav... David? Hi!" She sniffs as she wipes away the tear under her eye
"...It's been a while" She tries hard to act natural, but immediately looks down to avoid my eyes
"Uhm... yeah. Well, here is your delivery. You ordered 3 pizzas, right?" I hand her the boxes
"Oh and sign this"
I give her the receipt and a pen to sign.
"Thanks" I say and she just lightly nods.

Just turn your back and walk away! Escape the awkward situation!

No say something! Don't be such an a hole David

"Hey, are you ok?" I ask softly
She crosses her arms, pulling her hoodies closer to herself as she shakes her head in response. When she looks back at me, she bursts into tears.
Ok well ... shit
"Liza..." I take off my raincoat and embrace her into a hug.

Her arms wrap around my waist tightly. I can feel her heart beating rapidly and her body shaking.

The rain continues pouring down.

"Everything is gonna be ok" I comfort her even though I don't know what is happening, but I know she's in pain and needs someone to be there for her. I stroke her curly hair now that is shorter than it used to be. After I have no idea how long, I can tell she is calming down. She sniffs quietly as she pulls away from me.

"I'm not gonna ask you if you're ok, cause that sounds kinda stupid,..."

This time her tears are replaced with a chuckle.

" .... but is there anything I can help, do you want to talk about it?"

"would you like to come in first?" She forces a smile, forgets the tears staining her face.

"I mean, sure!"

"Well, welcome to my crib. So sorry that was not a good way to greet a guest right at the very front door"

"Yeah especially a delivery guy" I laugh

"Shoot!" She immediately remembers something, I can tell. She goes back to the door and grabs something from outside
