Chapter 2

The O'Connell's and Evy made their way into the house, well more like mansion thanks to a certain someone from 10 years ago, of the O'Connell's. Evy had arrived at London after she had traveled for 2 years before returning to Egypt, so she could spend time with Ardeth Bay. She arrived 6 weeks ago, the night when both Lucinda and Evy had their first same, weird dream they shared. Ever night since it kept happening. Evy was helping Alex carrying the findings from Egypt while Rick carried all the heavy luggage and Lucy with a bag around her arm, as they walked into their house.

"I think the bracelet is some sort of guide to the lost oasis of Ahm Shere," Lucy said to Rick.

"Lucy, I know what you're thinking and the answers no, we just got home!" Rick said as he dropped the luggage at his feet before walking to Lucy.

"Well, that's the beauty of it! We're already packed," Lucy said as she threw her bag on a seat before turning around and giving her husband a sweet smile.

"Why don't you just give me one good reason-" Rick started as he walked over to her while raising his finger.

"It's just an oasis," Lucy interrupted as she threw off his hat.

"Darling, beautiful, exciting, romantic oasis," Lucy said as she circled around him before taking off his scarf.

"The kind of ones with a nice sandy beach and the palm trees and the cool clear blue water. We can get us one of those drinks with the little umbrellas," Rick said as he wrapped his arms around Lucy as she nodded to what he said.

"Sounds good," Lucy whispered looking into his eyes and giving him a small smile.

"Sounds too good. What's the catch?!" Rick said as he pushed her back a little before looking into her eyes with all seriousness.

"Supposedly its the resting place of the Anubis' army," Lucy said knowing that Rick knew there was a catch.

"Yeah you see, I knew there was a catch, there's always a catch! And how did I know that? And let me guess he was commanded by the... Scorpion King guy" Rick said annoyed as Lucy walked off as he followed behind.

"Yes it was the only way he could live for 5,000 years," Lucy said as she walked to the staircase.

"Right and if someone doesn't kill him he's going to wipe out the world," Rick said, continuing to walk behind her as he used his arm gestures.

"How did you know?" Lucy asked surprised as she turned at the bottom of the staircase before walking up them.

"I didn't but that's always the story," Rick said as he walked up the staircase.

"The last know expedition to actually reach Ahm Shere was sent by Rameses the forth, more than 3,000 years ago. He sent over a thousand men," Lucy informed as they reached the top of the staircase and continued to walk.

"And none of them was seen again," Rick finished.

"How did you know?" Lucy asked surprised as she turned slightly.

"I didn't but that's always the story," Rick replied.

"Did I mention that there was a pyramid of gold?" Lucy asked as they reached the top of the staircase and continued to walk.

"Twice," Rick said, continuing to walk behind her as he held up two fingers.

"Alexandra the great sent troops in search of it," Lucy said as she took off her jacket, throwing it on the railing.

"Well, great for him," Rick said sarcastically.

"So did Caesar," Lucy said as she walked to her bookcase.
