The Mummy Returns (A Rick O'Connell Fanfic) {2}

Chapter 7

The next day came, during nightfall and the journey to find Alex was still underway. Lucy and Evy were at the front of the balloon, looking out into the sunset. Clouds interrupted their view as they closed their eyes for a couple of seconds before opening them to see a vision being pictured in the clouds.

~~~~~~~~ Vision ~~~~~~~~

There two women stood in a fighting stance, wearing amour with a knife in each hand. Someone clapped which made them turn around, still in a stance ready to fight. Someone yells in Arabic to fight which made them turn immediately and they start to fight. In the background of the fight, Evy stood next to Seti and next to him was Imhotep.

The sisters' eyes widen when they saw Evy dressed in royalty as they did in ancient times.

They continued to fight, blocking and attacking with each move they each made until one of the women fell to the ground, making the other woman stop, as everyone clapped. The woman on the ground removed her mask. It was Lucy.

The sisters' eyes widen again when they saw Lucy. They both realised who they were in the vision. Evy was Nefertiri and Lucy was Tinana.

The other woman removed her mask to reveal it was Anck-su-namun.

"Put your mask on! Let's not scar that pretty face," Anck-su-namun spoke to Tinana. Tinana reacted by jumping to her feet as she and Anck-su-namun fiddled with their knives before staring back into a stance. They started to fight but Anck-su-namun threw both of Tinana's knives to the floor which made the audience applaud.

Tinana cartwheeled many times towards a wall before flipping onto the wall, which she held onto by an axe. Anck-su-namun threw her knives into statues of guards before cartwheeling to the other wall which had spears displayed. They each took their weapon, twirling them as they walked towards each other before fighting again.

As they fought the audience applauded again. As Tinana blocked her face with the axe from the spear, Anck-su-namun threw away Tinana's weapon again with the spear. She twirled the spear and pushed the spear to Tinana which made Tinana grab ahold of it. They fought to get it but Anck-su-namun pulled Tinana over there shoulder and onto the ground before holding the spear against her neck as the audience applauded.

"You are learning quickly, Tinana. If your sister Nefertiri is as good as you, I'll have to watch my back," Anck-su-namun said with a smirk.

"Yes... and I'll watch mine," Tinana replied which made her smirk fade.

"Bravo! Bravo!" Seti started as he made his way down the steps with Nefertiri. "Who better to protect the Bracelet of Anubis... than my two lovely daughters, Nefertiri and Tinana." He said as he put his arms around Tinana and Nefertiri. "And who better to protect me than my future wife Anck-su-namun."

Seti then turned to Tinana and embraced her into a hug. "Well done daughter."

Nefertiri and Tinana were in Tinana's quarters as they walked out to the balcony of her room. They walked over to the railing both smiling at each other before looking out to their view in front of them, both making their smiles fade. Their Anck-su-namun entered where Imhotep was. Anck-su-namun walked over to him as they kissed. Tinana felt betrayed and heartbreak as she looked away before looking back up.

Lucy mimicked the same actions.

The sisters looked to see their father enter the chambers after Imhotep hid away and Anck-su-namun stood next to a statue. Imhotep walked behind their father and drew his sword from his robes.

"Medjai! Our father needs you!" Tinana yelled to the Medjai pointing to where he was, making them run immediately.

When the sister looked Anck-su-namun had stabbed their father in the back before Imhotep stabbed him.

"No!" The sister screamed which made Nefertiri fall over the railing and Tinana reaching over to save her but was too late.

~~~~~ Vision End ~~~~~

The sister screamed 'no' like they had done in the vision making Rick and Ardeth run to them both. Evy fell overboard and Lucy diving over the edge to save her this time. Fortunately, Rick caught Lucy while Ardeth caught Evy, both men hanging onto the edge of the balloon. Jonathan and Izzy both rushed to them helping one another up.

Everyone got back safely on board and Lucy sat next to Rick and Evy next to Ardeth as they explain what they saw in their vision.

"Lucy, I know you haven't exactly been yourself lately with all these dreams and visions-" Rick started before Lucy cut him off.

"No, no, they're memories from my previous life. Same with Evy," Lucy stated as she turned to Evy which made her sister nod in agreement.

"Honestly, we're not losing our minds. It all makes perfect sense now," Evy said.

"And that's the reason why we found bracelet?" Rick asked.

"Exactly, we were its protectors," Lucy replied.

"Now do you believe, my friend? Clearly, you were destined to protect this woman. The same thing with me and Evy," Ardeth stated, trying to make Rick believe.

"Right. She's a reincarnated princess, and I'm a warrior for God," Rick says sounding unconvinced.

"And your son leads the way to Ahm Shere. Three sides of the pyramid. This was all preordained thousands of years ago," Ardeth explains.

"And how does the story end?" Lucy asks curiously.

"Only the journey's written, not the destination," Ardeth replies.

"Convenient," Rick says bluntly.

"How else do you describe Evy and Lucy's visions? That it is your son who wears the bracelet? How do you explain your mark?" Ardeth asks Rick.

"Coincidence."

"My friend, there is a fine line between coincidence and fate."

Chapter 7 is up. I know its kinda short but I have heaps of study and it's the best I could do for today. I might be able to update tomorrow so keep posted!
