Kiley's POV

My phone started to ring as I was in the middle of a photoshoot. I looked over to my manager and she laughed.

"It's Austin." She said and I rolled my eyes.

"He won't leave me alone!" I complained as I did as the photographer said.

"I know. It's honestly so funny." Hayley said and I scoffed at her.

"Not funny." I stated and went back to my work.

Austin was a guy I met at a party. He was in a boyband with my friend Edwin and ever since he introduced us Austin had not stopped calling me.

I met Edwin when I first moved to LA at a party. Turned out he had just moved to LA as well to be in a boyband. We clicked right away and have been good friends ever since.

"Have you heard about that one in the band... what's his name... Nick!" Hayley said from behind the photographer.

"No I haven't, what happened to him?" I asked. I had met Nick Mara a couple times and I was NOT fond of him. He was the biggest asshole I had ever met.

I leaned back and looked at the camera as the photographer took more photos.

"Apparently got found doing drugs or something and now everyone hates him." She shrugged as she looked at her phone and typed away.

"Hm. Sucks." I rolled my eyes.

I finished my photoshoot within the hour and Hayley followed me to my dressing room.

"You're friends with one of the guys in that band right?" She asked.

"Why are you still on this? And yes I'm friends with Edwin." I asked as I got dressed back into my jeans and sweatshirt.

"No reason..." She said suspiciously.

"Um... okay." I said and collected all my things.

"What now?" I asked and she checked her phone calendar.

"Nothing left for today, you have an advertisement shoot for that small online clothing store tomorrow at 1. I'll see you tomorrow." She said and gave me a hug before disappearing.

I called my best friend Genny to come pick me up.

"Hey b!" She said as I hopped in the car. I saw our other friend Ila in the backseat and put my hand over my head and she grabbed it.

"Hey loves." I greeted them.

"How was the shoot?" Ila asked.

"Good. Did you guys hear about Nick Mara?" I asked.

"Oh my god he's so hot. And yeah... he was just smoking weed though so I don't see the big deal. He's 20 like he can do what he wants." Genny said.

"Oh my god he's so not hot. He's the biggest douche in the world." I laughed and she shrugged as she drove to our shared home.

"You cannot deny how sexy he is though." Ila said and I just laughed.

"You guys are crazy." I said as Genny pulled into our driveway.

I walked inside and threw my backpack onto the couch and made my way to the kitchen to make myself some food.

My phone started blowing up on the counter and I looked over to see Hayley calling me.

"What's up?" I asked and held the phone between my shoulder and my ear so I could continue with my grilled cheese.

"Emergency meeting in half an hour, don't be late it's important." She said and hung up.

"The fuck..." I wondered and quickly finished cooking my food. I ate as I went upstairs to my room and changed my clothes. I put on a simple pair of mom jeans and a white crop top. I pulled on my yellow vans and put my hair into a bun. I already had make up on from my photoshoot so I called it good and grabbed my car keys.

"Be back soon guys!" I yelled and heard a few muffled goodbyes.

I blasted some Chris Brown as I drove to the office building my management was located at. I parked and jogged up to the door because I was a minute late and Hayley was going to beat me.

I found my way to the meeting room and raised my eyebrows at all the people in the room. I scanned the room and saw Hayley, another lady I did not recognize, Edwin (what the fuck), a man in a suit, and Nick Mara.

"Uh what's happening..." I questioned and sat down. I heard Nick scoff and I looked over to see him roll his eyes at me. I rolled my eyes back and smiled at Edwin.

"Hey Ed." I greeted him. He nodded at me with a wink.

"Hi Kiley, I'm Linda the PRETTYMUCH manager." The unknown lady introduced herself.

"Hi nice to meet you." I smiled and I looked at Hayley nervously. "What's going on?"

"So you have heard about Nick here getting seen in public smoking marijuana, and we called Hayley with an idea. So all the fans right now do not like Nick. And he is getting some bad publicity. You on the other hand have many of loving fans and are getting great publicity with your modeling. So we got to thinking that you and Nick could maybe pretend to be in a relationship and make it seem like you are helping him become a better person and it would bring some good publicity for both of you." Linda explained and my jaw dropped.

No way in hell was I going to fake date Nick Mara! He was the biggest asshole I had ever met.

"Is this a joke?" I asked in disbelief.

"Gee don't sound too excited." Nick commented and I glared at him.

"I know you don't get along well, but Kiley think of your career now." Hayley warned me and I nodded.

"Do I have a choice?" I asked just to see even though I knew the answer.

"Well not really." Hayley shrugged and chuckled at me.

"Um okay then..." I awkwardly said and Linda and Hayley and the man who never introduced himself or said a word left the room leaving me with Nick and Edwin.

"This is going to be interesting..." Edwin said scratching his neck.

"I don't like you. Just because we are fake dating and have to pretend to be in love does not mean I will grow to like you or I will see you more than I have to. Don't get your hopes up." Nick said harshly to me.

"Oh... don't worry I won't." I scoffed and left the room to go find Hayley.

"What the hell?" I questioned her and she put her hand up to stop me from speaking further.

"I know you don't want this, but trust me Kiley. It'll only be for a few months and then you never have to see him again. This will be really good for your career hun." Hayley explained and I sighed and threw my head back in annoyance.

"I will try my best to act but I can't help it if he pisses me off." I said and stormed to my car.
