Chapter Thirteen / Smiles

Nick's POV

"Hey b?" Kiley got my attention as we laid in her bed watching youtube.

"Whattup ma?" I asked and rain my fingers through her hand.

"Just wanted to make sure you weren't asleep." She said and pulled herself up out of my grasp. She got up out of bed and pulled my hoodie over her body.

"Where you going?" I asked.

"Wanna go get some food?" She asked and pulled her hair up into a bun.

"Hells yeah." I said and pulled the covers off my body. I pulled on a shirt and grabbed Kiley by the hand. I pulled her into my chest and just stared down at her with a smile.

"I'm so lucky to have you." I finally say and give her a quick kiss before leading us to my car. I opened the passenger door for her and she hopped in with and small 'thank you'.

As I started the car, I threw the aux cord to Kiley.

"All yours baby." I said and winked at her. She rolled her eyes at me and plugged it into her phone.

"Where to?" I asked as she scrolled through her music.

"Uhhhh McDonalds." She said with her nose buried in her screen. The song Pineapple Skies by Miguel started to play through the speakers and I turned it up.

"Are the trees high enough baby?" I belted out and rested my hand on Kiley's thigh.

"I love when you sing." She said and danced in her seat to the song.

"You and your baseline, baseline, oh I wanna know, i wanna know, I wanna show you, every little things gonna be alright." We both sang, her awful voice ringing through the car. Even though she was awful at singing I still loved to hear her sing. I felt her eyes on me as I quietly sang the bridge.

"Whatcha looking at?" I asked as I kept my eyes on the road.

"A really sexy guy." She said and I smiled.

"Babyyy." I said and glanced at her to give her a grin.

The song changed to Kiss Me Thru The Phone and I screamed.

"DONT CHANGE IT!" I yelled and Kiley laughed at me and pulled out her phone. She started video taping me just as the words started.

"Baby you know that I miss you, I wanna get with you tonight but I cannot babygirl see that's the issue, girl you know i miss you, i just wanna kiss you, but i can't right now so baby kiss me through the phone!" I sang out as she video taped me. Kiley laughed at me and danced in her seat as she posted the video on her snapchat. The song eventually changed to Party Hard/Cadillac by Chris Brown. Of course both of us knew all the words.

"She's got the perfect lips the perfect body, shes the life of the party and she likes to party hard." I sang and ran my hand down Kiley's face as I glanced at her from the drivers seat.

"Stoooop." She said, blushing. I gave her cheek a squeeze as I pulled into the Mcdonald's.

We ordered more food than we could ever eat and made our way back to Kiley's house considering no one was going to be home.

"Hey ma, I realized I really don't know much about your family." I said as we sat our stuff up on the coffee table. She took a sip of her sweet tea and looked at me.

"Well... I have a younger sister and an older brother. My brother lives in San Francisco and my sister lives with my mom in a town called Redding in NorCal." She explained to me.

"Are you close with them?" I asked and took a bite of my chicken nuggets.

"Yeah very. My dad died when I was 16 so we all grew extremely close when he died." She said.

"Woah... I'm so sorry ma. How did he die?" I asked, feeling really sad for Kiley. I couldn't imagine losing my dad so young.

"Uh... drug addiction." She said and looked down at her food. I put my hand on her cheek and she leaned into my touch.

"We don't have to talk about it anymore." I said and she nodded with her eyes closed. I leaned up to her and kissed her forehead slowly. I pulled her into my lap and just hugged her.

"Thanks Nick." She said and leaned her head on my shoulder. "Can we watch Teen Wolf?"

I laughed and nodded, grabbing the remote. Kiley moves off my lap so we could continue to eat as I turned her show on.

A few episodes in and we somehow ate all of our food and ended up on the couch with Kiley laying directly on top of me.

Suddenly the front door opened to reveal Genny and Zion.

"Oh hey." Kiley says in a groggy voice. "Thought you guys were staying at the boys' house."

"We were... until Austin and Edwin decided it would be a good idea to get cross faded as fuck. And be obnoxious." Zion explained and I laughed from under Kiley.

"Wow." Kiley said and snuggled closer to me, if that was even possible.

"Well we're watching Teen Wolf if you want to join us." I said and Genny shook her head.

"Can't stand that show. We really just came by to drop our stuff. We're gonna go get food." Genny explained and I shot them a thumbs up. They went upstairs and returned shortly to leave.

"Babyyy." Kiley whined as I played with her hair.

"Yes?" I answered and she got up off of me.

"I'm bored." She said and stood up. I sat up too and shrugged at her.

"Whatcha wanna do then?" I asked her and she groaned.

She looked at me in defeat and I just stared at her.  Her naked face and messy hair was honestly just so cute. She was easily the most beautiful girl I had ever seen.

"Oh my god baby you're so beautiful." I said and threw my head back for dramatic affect.

"Shut up oh my god." She said and I stood up to walk to her. I kissed her softly.

I would do absolutely anything to see this girl smile. And it kinda scared me.
