Chapter Eight / Events

Nick's POV

Kiley had not texted me in three days. She hadn't answered my calls, she had left me on read on snapchat every time I tried to snap her. And she even left me on read on Instagram DMs.

She was really avoiding me. And I had no idea why.

So my last resort was the show up at her house.

I knocked on the door and she answered, looking adorable as ever in a sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.

"No." She said before he tried to close the door. I stopped the door though, knowing I was much stronger than her. I pushed it open and shot her a smile.

"Hey ma, why you avoiding me?" I asked and let myself in.

"What do you want?" Kiley asked and crossed her arms.

"To see you. And ask you something. But you have to tell me why you are avoiding me first." I said and plopped myself down on her couch.

"I'm not avoiding you..." She tried but I shook my head.

"No bullshit, you're definitely avoiding me. Spill Toro." I said as she stared at me from the foyer.

"Because you made me annoyed." She finally cracked and I looked at her.

"Why because I know you like me?" I teased again, which was not a good idea.

"Fuck you." She said and ran up the stairs. I sighed and ran after her.

"Kiley! I'm sorry I didn't mean it." I shouted through her door.

"Nick just leave you literally piss me off so much." She said back and I shook my head.

"Not until I make it better ma." I said and opened the door without knocking.

"Every heard of 'knock before you enter'?" She said as she was pulling off her sweatshirt to reveal a sports bra.

"Sorry but I don't even care." I said and walked up to her. "I'm sorry for saying you like me and I'm sorry for annoying you. I was just teasing and I didn't mean it."

"Well thanks for apologizing. I was so annoyed because you literally wouldn't even let me talk and you were making false claims." She explained and I nodded. My heart falling a bit when she mentioned the false claims.

"I understand ma, won't do it again." I said and kissed her head.

"Thanks Nick." He said and finally relaxed under my presence.

"So, what I needed to ask you. The boys and I got invited to go to the movie premiere for The After Party, ya know that movie with Kyle? And I was gonna see if you wanted to come as my date?" I asked her and jaw dropped.

"Are you lying to me?" She asked and I laughed and out my arms around her waist.

"No baby, I'm 100% for real on this one." I said and she grinned up at me and threw her arms around my neck.

"Yes I will go!" She said and I grinned into her hair. "What the fuck do I wear to that kind of event?"

"Well I have to wear a suit so... I would assume a fancy dress." I said and she nodded.

"When is it?" She asked.

"About that... tomorrow."

I texted Kiley and asked if she was ready for us to come get her. I was all dressed up with the boys in our suits.

"I'm so pumped." Brandon said as he texted Charlotte. The girls all got ready together and Kiley, Genny, and Ila's house.
