Chapter Sixteen / Tour

Nick's POV

It had been a few weeks since the boys had mentioned a tour.

And it was officially happening.

And much sooner than we anticipated.

We would be leaving in a week and would be gone for almost 3 months. I had to tell Kiley eventually but I was avoiding it as much as possible.

She had asked if I wanted to hang out for the past 3 days and I kept making up some shitty excuse not to. Finally she called me.

"Hello-"

"What's wrong? What's going on? Why won't you talk to me?" Kiley cut me off and I sighed.

"Kiley... come over I have to talk to you." I said, instantly realizing it sounded like I was about to break up with her. "I'm not breaking up with you just by the way."

"Okay good you scared the shit out of me. On my way." She said before hanging up.

I sat on my bed until she showed up, thinking of how this is going to go.

She rang the doorbell and I walked downstairs to let her in.

"Hey baby." I said and pulled her in for a tight hug, kissing her forehead.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she pulled away and looked up at me.

"Yeah I just want to talk to you about something. Let's go upstairs." I said and grabbed her hand to lead her up to my room. I sat her down on my bed and sat across from her. She watched me as I fiddled with my thumbs.

"They boys and I are going on tour." I just blurted out.

"Nick that's amazing!" She yelled and wrapped her arms around my neck. I grabbed her waist and hugged her back for a moment before I pulled her away, her beaming at me.

"Yes it's amazing, but it means I will be gone for almost 3 months." I said and her smile faltered.

"Oh well... I'm sure we can make it work." She said warily.

"And we leave next week." I said and closed my eyes because I was scared of her reaction.

She was silent for a few moments before I opened one of my eyes to peak at her.

She looked pissed.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" She asked calmly. Too calmly.

"Babe, I didn't know it was going to be this soon until like last week." I tried to defend myself.

"And you waited to tell me until now? I wish you would have told me sooner." She said and turned away from me.

"I'm sorry Kiley, really I am." I said and tried to get her to look at me. She wouldn't though.

"It's fine Nick." She said quietly and I could tell she was annoyed.

"Baby tell me why you're so upset." I said and rubbed circles on her thigh.

"Because if you had told me sooner I would've been spending more time with you and instead you waited to tell me and then avoided me for 3 days because you were too pussy to say anything. I'm not mad it's just extremely annoying because now I only have less than a week to prepare myself for you being gone for 3 months. Nick I know we've only been together for like 4 months but still you're my world and it's going to be so shitty not being able to see you everyday." She spilled and finally looked up at me with hurt in her eyes.

"I know Kiley. I promise to call everyday and you'll be on my mind the whole time. Just know when I'm performing, I'm performing for you." I said and scooted closer to her. I softly kissed her neck, not in a sexual way but in an affectionate way.

"I'm so happy for you. I know how exciting this is for you and the boys." Kiley smiled and I rested my head on her shoulder.

"I'm so pumped Kiley you have no idea." I said and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"You should vlog it!" She suggested with a smile. "That would be really good for your guys' youtube channel."

"That's a great idea baby girl." I said and she smiled at me before planting a kiss on my lips.

"I'm gonna miss you." She said and I smiled at her.

"I'm gonna miss you too, so much."

The week flew by and before we knew it, it was time to head to the airport.

"Got all your shit?" Kiley asked me from the doorway of my room.

"I hope so." I said and saw one of my sweatshirts on my bed. I grabbed it and threw it at her. "For the nights you miss me most."

"Aw you're so cute. Thanks b." She said and kissed my cheek.

"Nick! Let's go!" Austin yelled at me from downstairs. Our manager wouldn't let Kiley come with us to the airport for some unknown reason so we had to say our goodbyes here.

"Let's go famous boy." Kiley said and motioned for me to head down the stairs.

Kiley's POV

I held back my tears as we went down the stairs. It's crazy how attached you can get to someone in just 4 months.

I hugged all the boys before turning to Nick.

"We'll let you guys say your goodbyes." Brandon said and pulled the boys outside.

"I'm gonna miss you so much. But I know you're gonna kill it on that stage. You're so talented Nick and I'm so happy to see you do what you love." I started and Nick grabbed my waist and pulled me into a tight hug.

"What am I going to do without you?" Nick said into my neck and I had to close my eyes to stop the tears.

"Oh stop I'm just a phone call away." I said to calm him down, but mainly to calm myself down.

"I'll call you everyday and I'll even send you update videos just for fun." Nick said and pulled away to look at me.

"You better." I said and he kissed me slowly.

"You're so fucking beautiful." Nick said when he pulled away and I blushed, still not used to his compliments.

"I'll see you soon." I said, knowing the boys were getting impatient.

"See you soon baby girl." Nick said before handing me the key to their house, I was going to keep the house up while they were gone. Nick walked towards to door before turning around, taking a breath as if he was going to say something.

"I-" He started but stopped himself. "I'm gonna miss you so much."

He gave me one last kiss, making it longer than usual. This would be the last one for the next 3 months.

"Bye Nick."

"Bye Kiley."
