Y/N POV
I walked. I don't know where to or how far, I just walked. Anywhere. Anywhere that wasn't there. I ended up in a park. I don't know how I got there. Literally and metaphorically, I was lost. I just fell to my knees then to my hands. How stupid could one person be? Me? With someone like her? I'm just some guy from Ohio. I won't cry... I can't... At least that's what I told myself. I felt the tears well up. The lump in my throat. I couldn't stop it, they just flowed from me. I just screamed and punched the sidewalk I knelt on, over and over again.
"GOD DAMMIT!" I screamed repeatedly bringing my fist down on the sidewalk for. "I TOLD MYSELF NEVER AGAIN!"
Yeah, I felt the blood running off my hand, but I didn't stop. I didn't care. Slam! I didn't care if I'd never play again. Slam! What's one more void? Slam! Who cares anyway... But before I could bring my fist down again...
"Oppa..." Came a soft and shaky voice, as a soft hand grabbed my wrist lightly, wrapping the other arm around my waist. "Please, stop... Look at your hand."
I couldn't say anything, I just stayed knelt over crying.
"I... I brought your guitar, I know how much you love it and didn't want you to forget it." The soft shaky voice said in almost a whisper while they hugged me from behind, "And I bought you a gift for helping us so much..."
They moved their hand from my wrist and wrapped it around my waist with the other, squeezing tighter and laying their head on my upper back. "Please... stop hurting yourself..." They said as I felt my shirt where their head was getting wet. They were crying.
"I should have warned you," the soft voice whispered, "but I was hoping I wouldn't have to..."
I wanted to reply but I couldn't find words, I just... I felt dead
"There's nothing wrong with you. You're amazing... She's just been in love with him for so long." the voice became more shaky due to them crying. "I thought she fell for you, and... and that's why I didn't say anything."
Whoever this is... They understand me, and know how I work. It's like they made it a point to pay attention to me. To know me. I can't feel anymore drops on my back and their breathing calmed, I guess they stopped crying... makes one of us. Is that a heartbeat? It's not mine, and it's beating fast... My thoughts trailed because they slowly sat me back onto my legs so I was sitting upright, but my head still hung low. I think we were there for almost ten minutes, rocking softly side to side. It was.... calming. Wait... only one person rocks like this when I hug them...
"Oppa... Would you come with me?" The soft voice whispered, "please..."
I stood up slowly with their help, I think any faster or on my own I would have collapsed. My hand was trembling from punching the sidewalk so hard. They let go of my waist so I slowly turned around. Before I knew it Lisa had her hands on my cheeks wiping the tears away, then wrapped her arms around my neck. Again we stood there and rocked from side to side.
Lisa POV
I can't stand seeing him like this. He's such a sweet and caring guy. Knowing there's nothing I could do to make this better for him broke my heart so much. But I have to try something.
"Let me see the hand you hurt." I said as I pulled away.
I reached into my purse and pulled the handkerchief and wrapped it around his hand. I looked up and smiled while I wiped the tears out of my eyes. "Come on, let's go, you need to rest."
