Y/n POV
I sat with chaeyoung in the parking lot outside of Bright Future Orphanage, my heart beating faster than I ever thought it could. I bet she felt the same. This is the day we were adopting kids. Little humans. I'm nervous. They'll be happy, right? I glanced over at Chaeyoung and I could see the worried expression on her face. I took a deep breath. I had to be the rock here. I put my hand on her thigh and she looked up at me. I just smiled at her and that seemed to ease her nerves a bit.
"You ready to get our kids?" I asked chuckling realizing how weird it felt to say that.
She just smiled back and pressed her lips to mine. "Let's go, baby."
We get out and walked to the building, her fingers locked with mine. As we walked in we were greeted by Mrs. Eun, whose eyes lit up when she saw us.
"Is today the day?" She said with a smile.
Me and Chaeyoung exchanged looks and smiled. I nodded to her and said, "yeah, today's the day."
"Wonderful! I will get your paperwork now!" She said as hurried behind the desk going through a filing cabinet.
"Can we go back to see them real fast?" I asked getting a smile and a nod from Mrs. Eun.
She went back with us to a room where the kids were eating lunch. I saw Ming and Shuyang at the end of a table eating their food. We went over to them and caught them by surprise.
"Hyung! Noona!" Shuyang exclaimed as he and Ming jumped up to hug me and Chaeyoung.
While hugging them I noticed a girl about the same age as the boys seemingly crying at table across the room after seeing them hug me and Chaeyoung.
"Hey, Mrs. Eun." I said getting her attention. "Is she okay?"
"She just got here a couple weeks ago. Her name is Ella. Her house burned down while she was at school, took both of her parents." She replied with a solemn expression. "She won't talk to anyone or play with the other kids."
"We tried being friends with her because we knew that's what you would do, Hyung." Ming said making me smile and chaeyoung knelt down.
"You boys know you really shouldn't be calling him 'Hyung', right?" She said with a very straight and serious face.
Their faces grew worried, thinking they were in trouble I assumed, then Shuyang spoke up. "I'm sorry, Noona... or... Miss Park. We're only trying to be polite."
"Then don't you boys think that... Appa... would be a better name for him?" She spoke as their faces grew in surprise with mouths hung wide, then held out the hand with her engagement ring. "And since you'll be calling him Appa, you should probably start calling me Eomma."
They started jumping around excited and crying while they hugged us and repeated their thank you seemingly a million times. I noticed that Ella ran out of the room.
"Babe, can you stay here with the boys? I'm gonna run to the store real fast." Chaeyoung hummed in response, I then turned to Mrs. Eun. "Mrs. Eun where would she have went?"
"Probably her room it's the very last one at the very end of the hall." She answered.
I hurried out of the orphanage and went to the closest to the orphanage for a Rose and a teddy bear, then hurried back. I smiled at Chaeyoung and the boys as I walked past them and continued to the back where the rooms were. She said last one at the end, so I made my way there. I peeked in and say Ella crying and sitting on the floor. I walked over and sat next to her. It was quiet for a minute until I decided to speak up.
