A Heart Divided

Chapter 13

The days are getting better. I can feel the sun warming up the air, and sending the cold winter air away.

Yup, the days are definitely getting better.

As I walk up to the school gates I realized I forgot my jacket in my locker, I’m about to turn around to go get it but Jonghyun sees

me. His smile captivates me and stops me from turning back. I can feel a joy inside me the closer I get to him. This joy is pleasing to my body. It causes me to lightly jog towards him so I can get to him faster.

As I arrived next to him, he embraced me in a passionate kiss. One I have not yet grown comfortable with.

“Jonghyun, you’re too reckless. We shouldn’t kiss like this in public. It’s not proper,” I tell him as I look around at staring eyes.

It’s something that I have been wanting to tell him for a long time.

Jonghyun looks at me with a smirk on his face and says, “Fine, then shall we kiss in private.”

His words bring a hot sensation in my face while his voice, that’s seducing, gives me the feeling of a nervous crawl that feels hot

through my body.

“Sorry, I just can’t help it sometimes,” he tells me as he pulls me to start walking to our destination.

“Where are we going today?” I ask him as I see him taking me a different way then where we usually go.

“Oh, I don’t know yet, just walking around for a change of scenery I guess… actually I was wonde- … never mind I’ll ask latter,”

He flashes a smile at me and leads me to yet another street that I don’t know, making me wonder what he wants to ask me this

time.

-Onew’s POV-

Hyosung takes to long to leave school. I know she has a lot of friends but she takes to long saying goodbye to them.

My eyes keep wondering around to see if they spot her, but instead I'm now staring at Jonghyun.

Him and Sara have been dating for a while now. She's been looking happier too.

Actually this is the longest Jonghyun has been in a relationship.

Maybe I was wrong about him. I just need to know that he really cares, that he won't hurt her. I just need to talk to him.

I start walking in his direction to then suddenly stop as I see Sara

approaching him.

My stomach starts to churn as Jonghyun engulfs her in a kiss. I stand there like a fool as I watch the girl I love touch the lips of another man.

Pathetic.

They start to walk away in the direction I had planed on going in.

A new chicken restaurant opened up that way and I wanted to try it.

I guess I won't be doing that today.

First he takes the only girl I love, and now he takes away my joy from eating chicken. He might as well run me over with a bus, it would hurt less.

"Oppa!"

Ah. That voice. Just in time.

The voice of my Savior from this cruel and lonely world.

I turn around and see a beautiful Hyosung running in my direction.

"Oppa~ I'm here!" says the smiling girl as she clings herself to my arm.

"About time! Do you have any idea how long I was waiting?!" I scold at her.

"I'm sorry, I was just saying goodbye to some of my friends, but I'm here now, lets go~"

"Amazing. First she makes me wait and now she's hurrying me up," I say as I pinch her smiling cheeks in punishment. She just laughs and grabs me by my arm to make me start walking, and we start to go opposite of the direction Sara and Jonghyun were walking in.

Something about the place they were walking towards bothered me and gave me an uncomfortable feeling, but I couldn't figure

out what.

Wait....

I whip my head around suddenly almost giving me whiplash. My body felt frozen and in fear of what could happen to Sara.

"Onew? Are you ok?" Hyosung looks at me with a worried face.

"Oh yea, I'm fine, I just thought I forgot something but I just remembered I have it with me," I lie and then continue walking.

I try to ignore the fact of what I just realised.

Nothing will happen to Sara, I keep telling myself. But I have to face reality.

Sara's walking in the direction of Jonghyun's house.
