The Daughter of Fire and Ice

Chapter 11

  The next morning, I wake up to the scream of Evie, I look to see her admiring my outfit.

"Did you make this yourself?" She asks excitedly.

"Yeah, I made it last night," I reply shrugging.

"Fabulous!" She exclaims.

I get dressed and lightly touch my face with makeup. Me and Evie helped each other get ready and Mal just ignored me as usual.

Me, Evie, Mal, Jay and Carlos head down to the grounds where the event is being held. As we get there Ben is singing the song Lumiere and Cogsworth sang all those years ago, but Ben had made it more modern. When Ben sees me he winks, and I smile at him.

After his performance Ben meets up with me," do you want to come over to my parents with me?"

I look over to the VK's, Jay and Carlos are being pigs, Evie is talking to Doug and Mal is sulking in a corner.

"Sure," I reply.

We start to walk, and Ben asks if I'm okay.

"Yeah... I'm fine, don't worry okay?" I smile trying to convince him.

Before he can reply we reach his parents; he gives me a look saying: we're talking about this later.

"Hey mum, hey pops," Ben greets his parents.

"Where's Audrey honey?" Belle asks.

"Oh...uh...we broke up," Ben says awkwardly. "This is Ellie, you remember her, right?" Belle nods and Ben continues, "she's my new girlfriend."

Belle looks over me, "well you have changed quite a bit darling, you've become a beautiful young lady."

I can't help but smile, "thank you very much Belle, your still as beautiful as you were eight years ago."

She smiles graciously.

"You look a lot more Hades," King Beasty notes.

"I can change between looking like my mother and my father Adam," I reply shrugging.

"We were going to play croquet; would you like to join us?" Beasty asks.

I look over to the VK's for a moment, "that sounds lovely, yes please."

A game of croquet and lunch later and I head to my room. What am I going to wear for Ben's coronation? It is tomorrow, I better get started.

I step back and admire my handy-work, while todays outfit was Auradon inspired, my coronation outfit is fit for the isle. It's a long black ballgown with small bits of blue glitter all over it. I get a blue leather jacket and gloves with silver studs on them, my blue knee-high boots, a snowflake necklace, my snowflake belt and my mums silver snowflake tiara.

Evie comes in and squeals, "I was going to offer to make you a dress but... woah."

"It's okay for tomorrow?" I ask.

"Well duh," she replies. "Oh, Mal called a VK meeting in the boy's room."

I nod and walk with her there.

When we walk in Mal starts going on about some plan that isn't going to work so I don't listen.
