 Dear Wrenbird,

We played in the snow today.

It was freezing.

Even through my gloves, my fingers felt frost bitten.

But it was fun.

By the time we'd finished, you were soaked through from melted snow.

So I did the only thing I could think of.

I took off my heavy over-coat

(I was still wearing the sweater that was supposed to be yours under it)

And draped it around your shoulders.

It engulfed you.

Your entire body disappeared underneath it.

Seriously.

One minute all of you was there and then in the next...

Poof!

You were just a head and two feet walking.

I found it hilarious.

But of course, you expected that.

Once in a blue moon.

December 27,

Koda
