OOF! I was watching Voltron: Legendary Defender and I couldn't help but connect the characters from the TV show Star Vs the Forces of Evil.
Personally, I really like both shows; But I have been in the Star Vs the Forces of Evil fandom longer than the Voltron one.
Ok, here are some of the similarities I found :)
Allura and Moon Butterfly:
1) Both are princesses (Moon Formally)
2) They have glowing cheek marks
3) Know a good amount of magic
4) Can be a bit racist (Allura with the Galra and Moon with Monsters)
5) Want the best for their people, family, and friends
6) Can travel to different dimensions and teleport through wormholes
7) Beautiful white hair
Lotor and Toffee:
1) Slick back hair
2) Smooth talker and great persuader
3) Formal type clothes (never casual)
4) Very knowing/intelligent
5) Always a step ahead of the protagonist(s)
6) Wants a certain magical weapon (Lotor is quintessence/Voltron and Toffee is the Royal Wand being destroyed/good magic)
