When it comes to clichés, I'm usually always in between enjoying them and cringing at them XD
If I'm in the mood to cringe and smile gushingly at the same time, then clichés are the best. This is usually when I'm watching really happy shows or it is a small portion of a movie.
On the other hand, if I'm watching something and the whole plot is super predictable and I expected it to have a deeper/better meaning, then I don't really like it.
An example is when I was watching a Christmas movie with my cousin. We were sitting on the couch and jokingly criticizing it.
At one part, the main character just HAPPENED to be on her phone and BUMPED into her crush as they STOOD under the mistletoe. Then later, they are outside and the main character FORGETS her jacket in the snow and her crush gives her his jacket.
I asked some other people what was cheesy to them for other movies and they gave me some examples:
Good girl, bad boy
Magic fixes all problems (even though the previous trials could have been solved quicker if they Performed it beforehand)
Villain gets redeemed too quickly after all they have done
Clueless person is oblivious to all love coming their way
Character dies... just kidding they don't :)
Body swap themes
Depending on how well the story of the movie is, I'm usually fine with these, but it varies from time to time lol
