Have you guys heard of Steven Universe Therapy? *Cough* I mean- Steven Universe Future!
Well, it has been brought even more to my attention on how modern shows and animation can speak even more about topics that are becoming more of a concern. Not just school drama. People's problems. These can be hard to talk about.
I know that there are a good amount of shows that talk about the importance of mental health or even about self-esteem. Steven Universe Future shouldn't get all the credit (but there are some very relatable "red-flags" that are seen that people can relate to).
Mental health isn't something that's "easy" or "hard" to achieve. There are many ups and downs. It is never something that can be explained perfectly. It's complicated and it can be different for every individual.
I know schools can try to have good intentions on trying to help, but a professional can really be a step forward. Some people may not be comfortable with that; so a friend, family member, pet, or a trusted individual(s) can really help.
It can get hard to help someone or even yourself if there is neglect in Mental Health. It's easy to say, "Well, just get some help."
No, it takes time. More importantly, patience. Love too <3
It's is always good to get to know yourself :)
Know your limits, strengths, weaknesses, trials, and stress levels.
Anxious that you can't do it? Think of the little things you can do on your own to make you happy. Step 1.5 would be to say (or even write) what's on your mind. People truly are out there that care. But it can take time to really find the right person.
Solutions may come and go. It's ok if the plan you thought of didn't quite work :)
But please, try to take care of yourselves and one another. If you can't handle the stress for another person, it's totally understandable. We all have limits, but equally, we all have strengths.
